Shampoo was defeated by female Ranma in her Chinese Amazon village. According to Chinese Amazon Law, an Amazon must track down and kill any female who defeats her. So, she does.When Ranma and Genma finally get to Japan, Shampoo finds them. However, shampoo has not seen Ranma as a guy before. Unfortuanatly, shampoo is accidently defeated by Ranma again, but Ranma is male this time. This now means she must marry him. And the story goes on from there.
Shampoo is Ranmas most physically affectionate fiancee, holding him whenever possible. Akane is extremely jealous and hates Shampoo. Also Shampoo is by far the cutest fiancee, but she is also deadly in battle.
Shampoo is unable to speak Japanese very well, and often misses words out. Shampoo turns into a little cat when splashed with cold water. Too bad Ranma hates cats.
