About Manami
This cute little troublemaker of V.G. who is in the tournament just for
the hell of it. She has a very silly (but annoying) style of fighting and
is equipped with "Neko Gloves" which give her a long reach (She learned
this from a particular 1970s robot anime :) She calls this the "Neko Rocket
Punch". She still has trouble catching the gloves as they keep hitting
her face on the way back!
Manami likes to tease just about everyone (or preferably insult her opponents
in battle and is very good at it). For some reason, Manami has a very strange
habit of grabbing round objects (she always mess with Yuka when given the
chance).
Like many young girls, Manami is also very fond of sweets from Ice Cream
to very large cakes (Yuka always makes them at least 24 inches). In her
pastime, she visit carnivals very frequently (Manami hopes to have her
own dream carnival one day).
Even though Manami is an insolent little brat that acts about half her
age, she has a lot of talent as a ballet dancer, idol singer, cosplayer,
and of course a VG fighter. Even for a kid, she has a lot of friends (mostly
V.G. contestants such as Yuka, Jun, Kaori, etc) who Manami refers to them
as their big sisters.
Fujiya
Her restaurant is build right next to a big carnival, so there is also
a place for fun and entertainment, before or right after a big meal.
Jun frequently orders take out from Manami's restaurant. Mainly because
of her fondness for the stuffed animals at the nearby carnival.

She is an idol loved by adoring fans around her. Yuka just couldn't believe
that she had to fight someone so silly and immature.

Manami ends up being the second youngest competitor after Tamao's debut.
Tamao sees her at a carnival where she wins enormously large stuffed animals.
Manami was having a good time.
At one point, Manami ends up fighting Tamao and insults her saying that
her fighting ability is useless (Note: Tamao cannot use special moves during
that battle.)
In another story, a sudden tradegy at the carnival caused the place to
be destroyed.
Manami looked at the carnival in ruins and was upset. She couldn't believe
that her favorite place was completely destroyed. Elirin and Ayako just
happen to be there and they decided to help her out by rebuilding the carnival
of her dreams.
(Another
Story) Variable Geo OVA/Anime
Manami made friends with Yuka (who she surprised at first in a very weird
way) and Jun during the tournament. While they were being attacked by Elirin's
gang, Jun was surprised by what Manami can do with her paws (there must
be a piece of metal inside). Most of the time Manami was saving their behinds
with this surprise attack (Manami can be very sneaky sometimes). |
