It's a snake. I chose to do a bullsnake because I was having real trouble with the tail and bullsnakes have a rattle. It covered it up nicely. They also have a fairly easy scale pattern to copy.

I don't really like doing snakes 'cause I've never even attempted really doing scales before. Smooth skinned creatures are more difficult than doing fur 'cause you have to be so exact. I really hate being exact so this is my only snake. As it was, I kept painting over yellow scales with brown paint and visa-versa. I had to do a bunch of repaints. I did a coral snake once before but I either sold it or painted over it because I don't have it anymore. I don't think I have a picture either. I'm just not a snake person.

This rock weighs one pound.
