This is a snippet from Dave Nosworthy
coach of the Northern Titans.
Neil is a great guy, with a wonderful
sense of humour, and its someone who really enjoys
cricket and life. He is a real team man - and will
give it his all for each and every other member of his
team...i.e.: Not scared to go the extra mile!!!
Thank you Dave.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why Neil wears number 44 in the oneday
side. When He started
playing ODIs for South Africa, they gave
him the No.4,but Daryll
Cullinan had that number, and in respect to
him he just added another 4.

Jonty's most humorous cricketing moment
was in a one-day match against Australia in the Colonial
Stadium, Neil McKenzie dived to stop a ball on the
boundary, but due to the wet condition of the outfield,
he did not slide as far as he had anticipated, and ended
up a few inches short of the ball as it trickled over the
rope. To make matters worse, his pants came loose and
ended up around his knees, exposing his Speedo, which was
being used in place of his jock-strap, so it could have
been even more of a disaster.
