Perth, Australia - Neil McKenzie
scored 76 runs and Lance Klusener added 65 as South
Africa hit up 256-9 in its allotted 50 overs during its
Australian cricket tour opener at Lilac Hill on
Wednesday.
Against the Australian Cricket Board XI, South Africa
started its preparations for a three-Test series against
Australia when opener Herschelle Gibbs scored 39 before
being caught off the bowling of Jo Angel.
McKenzie hit 12 fours and a six while Klusener took 75
balls with seven fours and a six.
Australian Test player Andy Bichel took 3-28 in eight
overs while Angel was 2-56.
South Africa plays Western Australia state in a four-day
match beginning Friday at the WACA before the first Test
