Prince, McKenzie shine

Ashwell Prince hit an attractive 87 and
Neil McKenzie weighed in with 77 as South Africa A
reached 279/5 from 50 overs after being put in to bat by
Bangladesh in their match at the Soweto Oval on Tuesday.
Prince top scored in an
innings that took 103 balls and included five fours.
He was out with four
overs to go when he was caught by Alok Kapali off Tapash
Baisya, to give the spinner his third wicket of the
innings.
McKenzie became Tapash's
fourth victim but not before the skipper had lashed 77
from 55 balls with eight fours and six.
Tapash ended with 4/49
from his ten overs to be far and away Bangladesh's best
bowler.
Loots Bosman was first
out, caught by Khaled Mahmud off Tapash for 18. The same
bowler accounted for Andrew Hall, who was bowled for 21.
The in-form Martin van
Jaarsveld was caught on the long off fence by Tapash off
Sanwar for exactly 50 scored from 65 balls with five
boundaries.
