MacGregor Press
These lino block prints were printed on the MacGregor press, which I have named after, it's creator and designer,  the late Douglas O. MacGregor, who was a member of the Central Fraser Valley Graphic Guild.  He was a well known and respected printer and former Dean of the Kootenay School of the Arts.

This press is simple in construction, using sheets of plywood, some metal bars and a hydraulic car jack to apply from 2-5 tons of pressure, depending on the jack used.  I am using a small 2 ton jack that will apply 4000 pounds of pressure, enough  to print lino or wood cuts.

For full instructions and plans of how to construct one for yourself, see the
MacGregor Press Instruction sheet.

There is another design I saw on another web site for a press using a car jack.  You might find it interesting to compare the two designs.
