I was born in Oxford Street Hospital in the centre of Liverpool on Saturday 12 June 1965, after which I was taken to my new home - 12 Casterton Street in Wavertree (now sadly replaced by a modern housing estate). My first school was Webster Road Infants. Like most kids in Liverpool I found my way round the city by following my grandad's instructions to look for the incredibly shy Icky The Fire Bobby. After a few years my family moved around Liverpool (Kirby, West Derby, Aigburth, Tuebrook) before they mostly moved to Runcorn and I went to University (well, it was better than Runcorn!).
I never did find Icky The Fire Bobby! :-(
