Paragliding in The Sauerland/Gleitschirmfliegen im Sauerland
Sylvia bought me a voucher for a weekend of paragliding in the Sauerland, a couple of
hours from where we live. Here are a few pics that Sylvia took showing what I got up to.
Flying at last, but before this, came lots of this...
You have to practice carrying the paraglider up the hill
Then you have to lay the canopy out again
And wait with the rest of the people on the hillside
Until you get a chance to run down the hill again
And after a few attempts... say 10 or so you might get off the ground
and start flying... for about 30 seconds or so
Which is good fun
Then you have to land, and do it all again
