Like I said in my previous page my knowledge on some things is not amazing, but I like playing with electronics, experimenting I think is the technical term! I have liked ionised gasses in the form of neon signs and plasma globes for a long time. I learnt in school and from books how these were made and decided to start experimenting for myself. I dont get as much time to experiment as I would like, but who does?
For those who have not seen a Tesla Coil , or do not know what one is I recomend browsing through Bill Beaty's page and the links he has to some excellent pictures and designs. Basically they are a type of electrical transformer (For a detailed description see one of the numerous documents or Links at Bill Beaty's site).
