Just a quick note, this deck follows the "75-Card" House Rule. If you haven't visited the House Rules page, it simply means instead of having 60 cards, your deck must have 75 cards. It also uses the "Blind Evolve" Rule which allows a "Trainer's" Pokemon to evolve into a standard evolve or vice-versa.

Deck Strategy:

Pokemon:
A very fun to play deck, Big-Evo's idea is to hopefully draw one of the main three basics (Cyndaquil, Mudkip, and Bagon), it's stage 2, and either Wally's Training or Pokemon Breeder. Ninetales, Crawdaunt and Misty's Psyduck/Golduck are backups, Ninetales being an all-around great card and either Crawdaunt can be a powerful card. The single Misty's Psyduck and Golduck are there for two reasons 1.) Misty's Psyduck is just plain fun to use and 2.) Golduck helps against my younger brother's Armaldo deck, doing extra damage to his cards with Special Energy attached. Zigzagoon is there for card drawing, will probably replace with a Kangaskan (sp?) now that I found my Holo version. Finally, Onix is there to pick up the discarded energy from Fire Blast or Dragon Flame.

Trainers:
The main theme of the trainers is to get my main evolutions BACK into play AFTER they're discarded. I have some searching card in there (Misty's Wrath, Forest Guardian, Pokemon Breeder Fields) but it's ALWAYS easier to draw a card than to get one back from the discard pile. Next theme is energy searching, with 3 energy types and 31 Pokemon energy is pretty scarce. Lady Outing gets me one of each, Energy Search brings one, and Energy Retrieval helps to pull cards if I don't have Onix out. Lastly, Energy Recycle System either gets me 1 in the hand or 3 in the deck.

Flaws:
Misty's Psyduck, Golduck, and the 3 evolutions are pretty much useless. I will most likely replace them with 1 water energy, 1 psychic energy, another Corphish (if I can find one) and 2 deck searching trainers. Zigzagoon will probably be replaced with my 'Khan as mentioned earlier. Other than that, energy crisis is a major problem but it's generally easy to get around.

Final Thoughts:
All-in-all, this is probably the best deck I've ever built. It gives younger my brother's Speed Armaldo a run for it's money. Unfortunately, I haven't had much of a chance to run it against my older brother's Gardevoir EX deck.
Beside Energy problems and the fact it relies on a House Rule, this deck should be fun for anyone who tries it. If you use it, or a modified to 60 card version of it, tell me in my guestbook.
