The Legend Behind the Crusaders

The Essex County Crusaders were created by a group of "old school" football players. The core of the Crusaders consists of the same guys who created and kept the NEFL afloat for the first chapter in the NEFL book of achievements. This team is best summed up in one word� winner. The term melting pot also could be used. With a combination of players from the Cougars, Highlanders, Sharks, Nor'Easters, Rage, Bulldogs, Vipers, and Grizzlies. With such names as Tucker, Ronni, Novello, Torrisi, Cavanaugh, Lapier, and many, many more. We have a tremendous love for this game and a burning desire to compete and win. The most important thing is to have fun doing what we love.

This team promises to be one of the class acts of the league. With a hard hitting defense, and a powerhouse offence, smash mouth football is what we bring along with a never say die attitude! The Crusaders get their innate qualities from many sources. They draw from experience. The Class of the Rage and Nor�Easters, the intensity of the Cougars, the cunning of the Vipers, the hard hitting of the Grizzlies, and THE NEVER SAY DIE attitude of the bulldogs.
