Extra Credit-

Students may complete a book report on any book they have read as extra credit. The report must include a cover page and should be written using one of the formats they have learned in class.  An example would be to write an informational letter to a publisher explaining events of the story from the author's standpoint.  This encourages students to recognize author's purpose, context and story sequencing, while practicing a writing format.  It is important that they recognize the real-world uses of writing.
