Our Dearest Uncle Selva,
We love you lots and lots,
You're a favourite uncle,
You always knew our plots.

When we're really naughty,
And wouldn't go to bed,
Anan wanted stories,
and you read and read and read.

Now you're up in heaven,
Shinning like a star,
We'll look out of the window,
And we'll see you shinning far.
I got to know Selva through my brother Indren. The second photo was taken in Canary Islands soon after we had attended Indren's wedding in Dover. The first was taken at a pub somewhere near Dover where we had gone to have a drink after Indren's wedding. The guy in the photograph looking like Selva's buddy was a complete stranger we got to know that night. I will always remember him for the warmth he generated when he was amongst you and the ease at which he made friends with just about anybody. Selva was truly a citizen of the world. Farewell friend. We will all miss you.

My dear Selva, we go a long way, together from Std 1 to Form Five in Alor Setar, as ASEAN scholars in NJC, and as Engrg students at NTI. We were always competing but shared many achievements together. Although we went in separate ways, we had the greatest respect and love for each other. God takes away good people quickly. May he keep you safe and happy.
