Warrick County Study

STUDY METHODOLOGY AND PROCESS

Critical Issue Identification

The first step in the assessment process was to seek the community’ s perceptions about the most critical issues facing our communities. The United Way facilitated “public input” strategies in each county to identify critical issues for eventual inclusion on a county-wide assessment survey, additional efforts were conducted in Vanderburgh County through four (4) focus group sessions of the general public and client populations.

Warrick County professionals from non-profit agencies were invited to attend a public input meeting to identify the county’s critical issues for inclusion on the Warrick County survey. Sixteen (16) community volunteers met on February 18, 1999 at the Rolling Hills Country Club  and identified thirty-eight (38) distinct Warrick county issues.
