5.      Residents’ Description of their Neighborhood: 

 

Ø      Long term neighbors

Ø      Quiet

Ø      Good police involvement

Ø      Take care of property

Ø      Safe

Ø      Mater Dei

Ø      Close to schools, shopping, churches

Ø      Lots of trees

Ø      On snow route (Streets get cleaned)

Ø      Friendly

Ø      Look out for each other

Ø      Good streets

Ø      Hospitality of people

Ø      People do their part

 

7.  Descriptions of “Ideal Neighborhood”:

     

Ø      Trees trimmed

Ø      Residential (businesses are limited)

Ø      Keep character of neighborhood

Ø      Brickyard finished and landscaping

Ø      Hilltop parking lot paved and better drainage

Ø      Yards Cleaner

Ø      Cross walk on Harmony Way by Mater Dei

Ø      Better traffic flow

Ø      No Brickyard outlet on Maryland and Reinlander

Ø      Better street layout at Tekoppel, Upper Mt Vernon and Houge Rd

Ø      Sidewalks

Ø      Keep in contact wit CPO

Ø      More lights

Ø      Contact neighborhood residents of potential problems

Ø      Run patrols

Ø      Get in touch with zoning department

Goal #2:  KEEP CHARACTER AND APPEARANCE OF NEIGHBORHOOD

Ø      Talk with business owners

Ø      Petition businesses to take care of their property
