Permanent residents; *older homes; *Patchwork Central; * the fountain; *Culver School; *police station; *Jefferson Park; *Habitat houses; *mixture of homes and businesses; *grocery store on Garvin & Madison; *alleys.

 

7. Descriptions of “Ideal Livable Neighborhood”:

 

Dilapidated houses gone; *lawns kept; *gutters clean; *junk cars gone; *new sidewalks and flooding solved at Madison and Judson; *houses restored; *drug free; *better landlords & property management; *getting rid of noise; *neighbors communicating.

Bus./Inst.: Promote the festival; *Patchwork City/Government: Blanket down-zoning;            *enforcement of codes; *clean sewers; *survey the sewers; *respond to complaints; *have city employees to enforce code violations they see; *repair the sidewalks; *sewer inlet at Judson & Madison; *Washington & Governor.

City/Government: *Require training for landlords when they break codes and are fined.
