Slammed Astra on 19s

Darren lives in Southend."Out here you've got to go extreme on mods or you wont last a second. Ive owned about 40 cars, 25 of which I've wrapped around telephone poles. But this Astra stands out from the crowd. I Hacksawed out four holes in the bonnet and put in enough wire mesh to keep a flock of chickens penned in for a year. When I was in the alloy shop a young kid was trying to buy 19s for his Astra. Then the shop assistant told him it was impossible to fit 19s on an Astra and the kid started whinging. I brought him outside and when he seen my Astra decked on 19s and I told him I could get quarter lock he startid whinging again!" Yep - Darrens Astra is enough to give even the most veteran cruiser nightmares. "The 17in subs whack out enough phat bass to make the screws holding on the bodykit vibrate out of place! Its very firm and stiff, and Astras are known for shit handling, but I can live with it because you cant have a car decked on 19s and expect it to have good handling. I can get quarter lock but I usually stay away from roundabouts and tight bends just in case I cant make it round them! I also have to keep an eye out for even the smallest speedbumps and even pebbles can be a threat because the suspension is so stiff":says Darren as he eats a quarter pounder. "I just kept cutting back the arches till the 19s would fit. If it rubs the whole time its got to be worth it for 19s"

"Foooking 'ell...Are those nineteens?"
