Why no Tuition Fee is charged?

Almost all European countries are Social states.
That's why they charge no tuition fees.
Secondly ,in the context of globalization, European countries
are trying to explore new markets. They spend good
amount of money on foreign students so that they can
care for their business interests in their home lands.

Are there any hidden costs?

One has to pay only DM 150 (Rs. 4000) for each semester
as social security funds.

what are approx. living expenses per month?

Approx. living expenses are DM 900 /month.
It also includes your health insurance and accommodation.

What are admission requirements for a bachelors degree?

FA/FSc students are not admitted. This is because duration of
college education in Europe is 13 years and our college education
is 12 years.
Minimum requirement for Bachelors degree  is BA/BSc
from Pakistan.

What are admission requirements for a masters degree?

For a masters degree in engineering one needs a bachelor of
engineering in related field or in some cases candidates with
MSc (from Pakistan) in related fields can be admitted.

What are requirements for MBA?

One needs MA/MSc in related fields e.g. Management or economics
or in some cases engineers can also be admitted.

Is Transfer of credits possible?

It is not possible. I  will strongly recommend you not to
break your studies, but first to complete your education and
then come to here.

Are there any opportunities for medical studies?

Till now, no University is offering  courses in Medicine.

Are there any scholarships available?

There are only few scholarships available but only at PhD level.

How I can apply for a visa?

1.First one needs an admission letter from a University.
2.All other documents required can be asked from the concerning
embassy.
3.One more important thing is a Financial statement. Visa officer
should be satisfied that you have enough funds available to meet
your living expenses in his country.
4. Don't tell him that you are going to meet your expenses by
part time job.
5. Always tell him that you're coming back home just after
completing your studies.

How to make a financial statement ?

You can make an statement from a bank manager that you or your
father/guardian is running a healthy account in his bank. How to
make it you know better!
                                             OR
If you have any relative living abroad and earning good money then
it's time to revive relationship with him. Request him to write a
sponsorship letter that he will support you during your study period.
It will be great if he attaches his Income Tax statement along with
his Sponsorship letter.
It will be more great if he let this letter signed by a Solicitor /Notary public.

will I get visa easily?

Only God knows better. It varies from  case to case.
But face the interview with confidence.
Give him solid reasons why you have decided for further studies
in his country.

How much initial money do I need ?

I think one should bring approx. DM 5000 initially with him.
With this amount you can survive first six months.
This time is enough to settle down.

What sort of jobs students can expect?

Students who have good programming knowledge
e.g. C,C++ ,java or web programming need not worry
about getting a job.
Though other students can too get a reasonable part time
job ,but they should be ready to having a job as DISH WASHER,
as a hawker or as !!!
Before coming to Europe ,please first think whether you are ready to
face such tough situations .Sometimes one needs to work as a real
MAZDOOR (worker).
I don't want to discourage you but only  tell the reality so that
you don't blame me after arriving here.

Is TOEFL absolutely required for admission?

It is better to have TOEFL because competition is building up
as more and more students are applying to these UNis.
However there are chances to get admission without it.

Can IELTS be accepted?

Yes IELTS is accepted.

Is GRE or GMAT required for admission?

Most of the Unis don't need GRE. However for most MBA
courses GMAT is required.

What about Ranking  of theses Universities?

It is not like USA where Education is a Business. In Europe
all Unis are funded by state and almost have equal standard.
Government has only allowed the best Unis to start education
in english. So there is no doubt about their standard.
For example, Our Uni (With only 3000 students)  has an annual
research budget of  100 million Deutsche mark.

What about standard of education in these countries?

Just to remember you Germany is the homeland of industrial
giants like Siemens,AEg,BMW,Mecedes,Bayer,Beiersdorf,BASF
and SAP(the second largest software house in the world).
According to standard of living Germany is third in the world.
Finland is a country with population less than Lahore
(about 5 Million) but has more Universities than in Pakistan.
Nokia ,the worlds largest company in mobile communication
belongs to Finland.
Another great company ,Erricsson belongs to Sweden.

DO you think without quality of education they would able
to build such technological  empires. They have no natural recourses
like Oil ,Gas or Gold. They have knowledge and they cash it.

What should I bring with me?

1.Never forget your Blanket.
2.Three or four Towels (very costly here)
3. Some bed sheets
4. Good jeans and some shirts.
5. Shoes with very reliable and thick sole.(Due to rainy whether
in summer and snow in Winter)
6. Leather jacket
7. Don't gorget any of your original documents.
8. An alarm clock

I will add more information as I remember more.
