Joulson's Notes on Conjuration, Summoning, and Generally Bringing Things About

The late Joulson Gregar known throughout the realms as Joulson the Great penned this tome. It was meant to be left to his family after his death as a tutorial for future generations of mages. However, soon after Joulson's death the tome was stolen by an unknown thief and did not reappear in the realms for another thirty years. The next time it was seen it was in the possession of one Ein Dram a red wizard of Thay. Ein was a specialist in the art of conjuration. Many now believe that it was Ein's master who stole the tome from the Gragar family. Ein Dram took the tome with him while exploring abroad and never returned. Word has it the Ein lost his life and the book while searching for powerful magic in Myth Drannor. Others tell of a more likely tale the Ein was seduced a killed by fellow apprentice Amelia Shadeside while they were abroad. The only facts anyone knows for sure is both Ein and Amelia have disappeared and so has the tome. According to the last will and testament of Joulson Gregar the book contains the following original spells: Summon Arachnid, Joulson's Choking Dust, Joulson's Expedient Excavator, and Joulson's Earth Fountain. It also contains all of Joulson's extensive research on the Wish spell, and can be used as a source to research this spell in 25% less time with a  +10% bonus to the chance of success.
