From Janet Seitz, Eagle River, Alaska, in e-mail dated 5-31-1999
"... John MacFee was b. about 1750 in Scotland. John Fee, his sister Sarah
Fee, came to Charleston, SC, from Dublin in the Ship Falls. They are on an
original list of Protestant Immigrants to South Carolina, 1763-73. When
Sarah died (she was older than John), she left him 100 acres which Jane's
son (last name was Love), who was born in Ireland before the Rev. War, tried
to claim.
John Fee married 23 Oct 1779 in Rowan County, North Carolina, to Parthenia
Kellon. The assertion that his two sons were born in Scotland is thus in
error. Besides William and Thomas, John and Parthenia had Abraham, Esther,
Sarah, Polly/Mary, Ann, Parthenia, Moses, Isaac, Jacob, and Hannah. John
died Mar 1830 in Springfield, Gallia Co., Ohio."
