Hailing from Corcaigh in Southern Ireland (Eire), Ifreann O’Ifreannach is a scholar of Black Magic, Satanism and Occultism with dark interests in Wizardry, Conjuration, Divination, Thaumaturgy, Enchantment, Witchcraft, Sorcery, and Sortilege. He also is a participant in the Underground Black Metal scene with his diabolical band Diavalsa (pronounced [Ja-Val-Sa] and meaning Blasphemy) Ifreann derived his name some years ago from the direct meaning of his surname the anglicised O’hIfearnain [O-if-fir-nawn] meaning descendant of Ifrearnan [If-fir-nan], a personal name from “Ifreannach” [if-fir-nak]meaning Demon and “Ifreann” [if-rain] meaning Hell. The sept of O’hIfearnain originally inhabited territory near Corfin, County Clare, but are now numerous in Tipperary, Limerick and Cork. They were of the “Four Tribes of Owney”. There is no motto for O’hIfearnain. |
