Chinese Chews
2 eggs | � tsp. salt |
1 cup sugar | � tsp vanilla |
1 stick oleo | 1 cup chopped dates |
3/4 cup flour | 1 cup chopped nuts |
1 tsp. baking powder |
1. Beat eggs well. |
2. Mix in remaining ingredients. |
3. Pour into a 9" x 13" greased pan. |
4. Bake at 350� for 25 minutes. |
5. Center will be soft. |
6. When cool, cut into squares. |
7. Roll each square into a ball. |
8. Roll each ball into powdered sugar. |
9. These also freeze very well. |
