ELIGIBILITY: All contestants must present proof of a current USA Wrestling membership at registration. Membership Cards should be acquired from the State Membership Director. Secondary Sports Accident insurance is provided as a benefit of membership. * A kids and Cadet freestyle wrestlers must have qualified in a state qualifier conducted under sanction of USA Wrestling, and must be certified by the district director, with the exception of the Girl's Division. * Each qualifier may enter a maximum of four (4) athletes in each weight class in freestyle in the Kids and Cadet Division. You may wrestle in as many qualifiers as you wish but once you qualify you must so inform the director at the next qualifier you attend, to allow the next highest finisher to qualify for state. (example) If two of the top four finishers have qualified at an other qualifier, then the wrestlers who finish 5th and 6th would then qualify for State USA.

ENTRY: The attached OFFICIAL ENTRY BLANK must be accurately completed and mailed to your state director along with $25.00 entry fee (per-style) or $40 entry fee for two styles. Hardship petitions should be addressed to the State Director. Each entry will be checked off with the qualifying event to verify weight.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: Athletes must be prepared and must submit to a skin disease screening prior to weigh-in. The chief medical officer has full authority without appeal in determining the eligibility of an athlete to compete. In the event of injury or illness, no contestant will be permitted to continue the competition without approval of the Chief Medical Officer, whose decision is final and not subject to appeal.

REGISTRATION: All athletes must be present at registration and proceed to the weigh-in area after registration.


WEIGH-INS: "New Rules" An athlete competing in two styles may weigh in only once for both styles. This is contingent on the athlete actively competing in the first one of two wrestling styles scheduled. Athletes competing in one style must weigh-in at the official weigh-in for that style. All athletes must be present at BEGINNING of weigh-ins. Each athlete will be allowed two consecutive attempts to make weight and may not leave the weigh-in area. All wrestlers must be dressed in their singlet for weigh-ins and no weight allowance is given for the singlet. A wrestler may compete in the State Championships at a weight equal to or higher than the weight class in which he qualified at the district level, but not at a lower weight class.

COACHING: Floor pass required - $5.00 each. "New" Two complimentary floor passes will be issued to each Nebraska USA Santioned Club. Coaches floor passes will only be issued to those individuals with a current USAW Coach's Membership Card and who are a minimum USAW NCEP Copper certified, any additional floor passes are $5.00 each to certified coaches. Coach's Membership Cards should be obtained prior to this event. Coaches Membership Cards will be available at registration. Two certified coaches max. in each competitor's corner.

* There will be no admission charged to Spectators*

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS: Attractive awards to the top six place winners in Freestyle and Greco-Roman at each weight class. Attractive awards to the top three place winners in the girl's division will be given at each weight class.

RULES: The rules of FILA, with current USA Wrestling modifications where applicable, will govern the event and the competition.

UNIFORMS: Red and blue singlets, or red/blue reversible singlet with underbriefs required. For the Girls's division, a collegiate or girls singlet is required and a sleeveless sport top is to be worn under the singlet (no t-shirts).

PAIRINGS: Blind draw by contestants at the initial registration. Separation of wrestlers per club. The pool system, with cross bracketing, will be employed if there are six (6) or more entrants in any given weight class.

* GIRL'S FESTIVAL: The Nebraska USA Girl's Festival is an open competition, athletes that reside outside of Nebraska are eligible for both the folkstyle and freestyle competition. There is no pre-qualification. Folkstyle will run at the same time as Greco Roman, and Freestyle will all be run at the same time.
