Journal entries are fun! (I make something fun! wait...what? What did I just say? I am so confused)
Anyways, we had a barbeque yesterday at emigrant lake. Many people, including me and the car load I was with were late because we had to run back and for for things to get from people, things we had forget, etc. But it was great fun. Made some burgers, chicken, pork roast, played some badminton and did some skin swimming..heh..
Me and Cherie ended up being the only ones who would swim because the sun was going down but the others were definately missing out. Sure the water was slightly cold but when you got used to it it was very comfortable. And there is nothing like swimming with nothing on. Everyone who has done it knows this.
Still having to work on that damn sou commercial project. I called howard today to find out where the Hell I am suppose to go from here because I am not sure. We will see. I'm sure he will call me back. Until them I'm not working on it because I have no idea what I can do during the summer (when I can edit, if I can check out equipment, etc.) Bah to school, bah to the all. I just hope my incomplete is finally fixed. If not...heads...will roll...lol
oh me and a couple of my roommates signed up for this new blockbuster thing that is basically copying netflix: you can have 2 movies out for as long as you want or as short as you want with no overdue fees and no charge per movie. Then you can trade them in and get 2 more for no cost. It costs like 25 bucks a month but we have already surpassed the number of movies you would have to rent normally to reach 25 bucks and its not even half way through the month yet. Here are my movie suggestions after watching what we have watched: "Returner" is great! I recommend it highly. I HATED "Lost in Translation". I liked everything about it except I hated the story and you CANNOT have a good movie without a solid story so I hated this film...lol. Um, "The Eye" was really good. My friend Tamy who has been looking for a movie to scare her was extatic about "The Eye" because at one moment it actually scared her! It has great visuals, great acting, and just very very creepy overall. Just saw "Chocolat" for the first time. I probably don't need to tell most that that is a good movie :) heh. "Yossi and Jagger" is a kind quit gay love story involving two israeli soldiers during time of war but it is very short and because of that the tragedy seems to happen waaaaay to quickly. And through most of it they are mad at each other. The one love scene does not make this film worth watching, though acting and story wise it is actually pretty good. "The Core" was crap of course but all of you know that. "Paycheck" with Ben Afleck and Uma Therman is also a must see. Great action, incredible story line, and very good acting make this a classic in my mind. "Mystic River", a film directed by Clint Eastwood and staring Tim Robins, Sean Penn, and Kevin Bacon is definately one of the best films of the year. Its just a great film, I won't give anything away. Go see it. "Monster" was a great film with Charlize Theron in the best acting role in her career! "House on Haunted Hill" is another classic horror film with great cinematography and plenty of gore. Reminiscent of the Silent Hill video games and movies like The Haunting, Rose Red, and 13 Ghosts. I think those are all of them. I will probably continue doing this because it is fun to read about movies! hehe. Recap: See: Everything except Lost in Translation and The Core...LOL
Wow this is probably going to be a very long journal entry. Nothing much is new beyond all of the stuff I have already talked about. I sleep longer that I was so that is good. I really really REALLY want to go camping now that I went swimming at Emigrant and also now that I have my tent and sleeping bag. I'm waiting for Blockbuster to call me back for an interview though they never do. I don't know why! I mean, i have a 3.7something..like 3.79 GPA, I've taken film classes, I worked in a studio, I have a little bit of experience with retail, I'm good with math, I'm a director which means I know how to work with people...and yet they never call me back! I don't want to work at a hotel, I want to work at Blockbuster! They need to fill me with their movie juice! ahh. Well, I think that is it for now space rangers. Tune in next time, same bat time...yea you know the rest *grumbles to himself*
