The Northeast Association of Diabetes Educators promotes and provides education for people with diabetes throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. We help develop necessary skills for people to live healthier lives and gain control of diabetes.

Diabetes educators become certified by national exam to meet the challenges of teaching people with diabetes how to lead productive lives and become aware of advances in treatment and technology.

NEADE provides many services to the community in nearly twenty (20) counties. These services include:
                                     - educational seminars
                                     - community screenings
                                     - Children with Diabetes Getaway Weekend
                                     - working closely with other organizations

Our educators are also very active in encouraging legislators to pass diabetes bills that provide education, supplies and funding for diabetes research.

NEADE is chartered by the American Association of Diabetes Educators and works with other chapters on local and national issues.

NEADE members include nurses, dieticians, social workers, pharmacists, exercise physiologists and physicians in both inpatient and outpatient settings. To locate a diabetes educator in your area, call: 1800-TEAM-UP-4.
