Let me guess -- you recognise the face, but not the name. I was in the same boat, till I saw 'The Golden Child' on TV recently, and decided to track her down. Do these appearances ring a bell: a TV tropical island movie with Lisa Hartman (-Black) and Balki (or was it Balki's sidekick); Alyssa Milano's R-rated vampire movie; and the only good Dolph Lundgren movie I've ever seen, 'Men of War' (actually worth seeing, not just for Charlotte. Catherine Bell from JAG is in it too.) I remember each one of those roles, and more. She's just unforgettable. Which makes you wonder where Hollywood's head is at. Not only is she impossibly beautiful, she also seems to be quite a good actress; and she has a quality of grace and elegance that ought to make her a huge movie star. She can even make B-movies seem almost classy...
