| Junior was a male Icelandic orca who was captured in November of 1984. He was forced to spend the last 5 years of his life in a warehouse, with no access to natural sunlight, air, and was forced to listen to the constant loud roar of the overhead fans. Often he had to share his tiny pool with dolphins who were arriving before they were moved to the main pools. Junior was apparently for sale but without a buyer. When he died in June of 1994, he was probably the most abused of all captive whales. I mourn the loss of Junior and work towards ending this slum farm where he lived his short life. |
