Specifications for D - Units by Vehicle Types.


The DRU Truck:
Must be a Class 5 or Class 6, 4 wheel drive (When possible) automatic transmission preferrable, Crewcab a must and have an 8,000 lb capacity or higher winch, an open utility bed, a 4,000 lb or greater crane, 6kw Generator or greater, air compressor, 500w or greater scene lights, 360 degree capable spotlight, Medical Aid supplies, Search equipment, Rescue equipment, communications equipment, Some potable water, and more.
*** Special Note*** Disaster Response Unit (DRU): Is a Tactical Unit with limited support capabilities. It is designed move debri such as trees out of the way to open the road ways, debris from trapped individuals or other types of rescues. It can also perform limited evacuation of personnel. It can provide some water and food to those in the field. It is a very diversified and multiple mission oriented vehicle

The DRU Trailer:
Must be 24ft or longer, have a V-nose, Double or Triple - 7,000lb axles, 1 side door per side, ramp door in V, ramp door in rear, Interior and scene lights, 1 or 2 - 360 degree turn Spot light(s), storage for ropes - chains - poles and additional rescue equipment, portable electrical equipment, portable hydraulic or pneumatic equipment, ATV, and Rescue craft.



The DSU Truck:
Must be a Class 5 or Class 6, 24ft to 26ft Boxed, automatic transmission preferrable, 1-2 6kw Generator(s), fold away wall bunks for crew, Supplies for DSU Trailer operations, 2-4 tarp tents.

The DSU Trailer:
Must be 24ft or longer, Double or Triple - 7,000lb axles, 1 side door per side, barn doors in rear, Interior and scene lights, a/c, air vents, awning (both sides) Equipment: refrigerator, freezer, Icemaker, stove/oven, grill, deep fryer(s), microwave(s), storage cabinets, prep table(s), sinks, water storage, Hot water on demand unit(s),


The DMU Truck:
Must be a Class 5 or Class 6, 24ft to 26ft Boxed, automatic transmission preferrable, 1-2 6kw Generator(s), fold away wall bunks for crew, Supplies for DMU Trailer operations, 2-4 tarp tents.

The DMU Trailer:
Must be 24ft or longer, Double or Triple - 7,000lb axles, 1 side door per side, ramp doors in rear, Interior and scene lights, a/c, air vents, awning (both sides) Equipment: Exam/treatment tables (storable), exam lights, medical cabinets, sinks, water storage, hot water on demand unit(s), admin desk w/computer - phone and radio.
Smaller trailers can be used as aide stations. And will be designated as DMAU's (Disaster Medical Aid Units)



The DA/CU Truck:
Must be a Class 5 or Class 6, 26ft boxed moving truck style, automatic transmission preferrable, 1-2 6kw Generator(s), Interior and scene lights, a/c - heat units, air vents, windows, bathroom w/ sink unit and h.w. on demand, Desks, computers, radios, conferance area, TV's, chairs, Com and Admin supplies, side awning. 1-2 tarp tents.

The DA/CU Trailer:
Must be 24ft, Double - 7,000lb axles, 1 side door, barn doors in rear, Interior and scene lights, a/c, air vents, awning, fold away wall bunks for crew, supplies and equipment for admin and comm.



The DRHU Truck:
Must be a Class 6, automatic transmission preferrable, and have an 8,000 lb capacity or higher winch, The flatbed will contain: 10,000 lb or greater crane, Utility style boxes for: Medical Aid supplies, Search equipment, Rescue equipment, chains, ropes, also a 6kw Generator or greater for: 500w or greater scene lights, 360 degree capable spotlight, air compressor and Air tools, Chainsaws and cutting equipment, communications equipment, Some potable water.
****Special Note**** The DRHU will come equipped with hydraulic levelers.

The DRHU Trailer: No Trailer will be assigned with this unit.
