Her clouded senses have returned to normal. She
was standing in the study, staring at her bloodied hands in disbelief. Tears
welled up in her sapphire eyes, turning her the blue
in them into a lighter shade. She brought her hands down and looked at the body
lying in front of her. No! Allen! She
turned him to face her. She was shocked at what she saw.
His piercing blue eyes were staring at her
blankly. Blood trailed down his perfect chin. His skin was cold and pale. His
golden locks were stained with blood. His chest was ripped open as if by claws,
revealing his pumping heart. His lips moved, trying to speak.
“Ce...le...na…”
“Brother! Who did this to you? Tell me!” she
knelt by his head, crying as she went.
“It...wasn’t you…You
did…not…do this…”
As
he spoke, tears flowed from his eyes, shattering the control Celena had on her tears. She put her hand on his face,
caressing his cheek slightly. *What
happened? Had this all happened when I fell unconscious?*
“Who was it, brother? Tell me. Please tell
“Di…lan…dau…”
“Stay with me, brother. Please, I beg you.”
She
cried, remorse taking over every part of her living soul. She placed her
forehead on his, closing her eyes as she wept bitterly.
“Dilandau? Who is he? Where did he go?” she said calmly.
Allen’s
hand traveled to point at Celena’s heart. “Here.” Celena took his hand and squeezed it gently.
“Please stop, Allen. You need your strength.
Please stay with me.”
She
sat up straight and set Allen’s hand on her chest. *He will not die. He cannot die.*
“Do
me…a fa…vor…” Celena looked at her sincerely, proclaiming she would do anything for
him.
“Kill…me…”
“What?!” Celena hissed almost angrily.
“Use…that…” Allen pointed at the dagger by his
feet.
Mindlessly,
Celena took the dagger and stared at its bloodied
hilt. *This was what was used against
brother. How could Dilandau do this? I will seek
revenge.*
“Do it…I beg you…”
“No! I cannot do it! You will survive this!” Celena said, angrily.
“Do it!” Allen shouted with the little strength
he had left.
“No!”
Furiously,
she rose and left the study, gripping the hilt of the dagger tightly until her
knuckles turned white. She ran amidst the chaos in her mind. Questions rose,
hungry for answers. *What happened? Why
did Dilandau do this? What does he want from us?
Brother said that Dilandau went into my heart. But
how could that be? I cannot be Dilandau. Or can I?* She
stopped in her tracks, realizing she was nowhere near from the manor. This place is safe. Perhaps here I will find
Dilandau.

Van turned to the window and sighed. His sorrow
has gone yet it has left a painful wound. He looked at the letter, remembering
what it had meant. *No more Knight of Caeli.* A breeze came and snatched the letter from his
hands. *No more Dilandau.*

We have found
Lord Allen, bleeding to death in the study. His chest was sliced open. His
wound could not be helped. We found Lady Celena dead
near a river a distance away. We cannot find any possible criminal but one. Dilandau Albatou.
