Jericah Takes a Mallet to Forever Love"

*laughs softly* one of the reason why this rant is called "Jericah Takes a Mallet to Forever Love" is because I'm listening to it right now. XJapan rocks ne? Anyway, as I was listening to this song I remembered a paper I did for my literature class, that is, to write about something that is corny or Baduy. And the topic I chose for it was Forever love. No, not the song. I considered the idea of forever love, of a love that would last through lifetimes and then some, of a love that would defy all, and win all, of love the seems to be only found in fairytales. Isn't it?  We are all humans (or at least, very good images of one. ^_^) and being human, we are fickle. Wasn't it a human who said that the only thing that is constant is change? The heart changes constantly. What may be beautiful once can become ugly in a few seconds. Despite being an advocate of monogamy, I really don't think anyone, male or female, can stand being with a person their entire life. As for the belief that your soul mate is destines to meet you yaddah...I mean, I believe that you DO have a soul mate, but chances are you won't always get married to your soul mate. Sometimes, your soul mate is of the same sex as you.  See? And I've read somewhere that the soul doesn't always remember everything that has transpired in its past lives, how can it remember the love? Maybe it's just me being disillusioned. I mean, I find it sweet, you know, couples walking down the path HHWW (Holding Hands While Walking, FYI). But I don't really believe that they can be in love with each other forever. I DO believe in love. Just not Forever Love. And it'll take a great big argument and a whole horde of evidence to convince me otherwise. ^_^

Reactions to the rant? I’d love to hear what you’d like to say. If you really do make a point or just amuse me (which is very easy. I’m a Shallow person) I’ll post it up here as well. Send it to [email protected] with the Title of the rant as your subject tag.
