Author’s Note : March 31, 2002, Batch 2001-2002’s Grad song competition. I wrote the lyrics for our class, and (surprise surprise) didn’t win. Too bad though. Nevertheless, I liked the lyrics I made. Here it is, dedicated to IV-C 01-02 and all my friends.

One Million Thank Yous

Lyrics By : Elvira Licuanan

There are a few things we’d like to pack in our luggage

And take with us on this journey

Because our last day here is the first day of the rest of our lives

There’s a book called life

And on the first few chapters

You’re written all over

You defined who we are

What we know and what we feel

We don’t want anything left unsaid

Nor memories left behind

And after all these years

All we have to give are these

One million thank yous

There are few things we’re going to pack in our luggage

Just before we begin this journey

We look back and realize

How bright our lives have been

There’s a book called life

And on the first few chapters

You’re written all over

You defined who we are

What we know and what we feel

We don’t want anything left unsaid

Nor memories left behind

And after all these years

All we have to give are these

One million thank yous

Here’s a new leaf

We’re beginning a chapter

Ready for all we’ll write

But before all that

We look back and see

The times we spent together

We don’t want anything left unsaid

Nor memories left behind

And after all these years

All we have to give are these

One million thank yous

We don’t want anything left unsaid

Nor memories left behind

And after all these years

(And after all these years )

And after all these years

All we have to give are these

One million thank yous
