Here goes Part Three of the songfic series! It’s another Savage Garden song but it’s about Aya this time.

White Cross does not belong to me; I’m just fiddling with them. I’ll put them back…promise! *big goo goo eyes*

Inxes: I personally think that Aya’s sometimes irritating especially when he tries to push away other people who just want to help/talk/care for him. I just wanted to write something that would give him come humanity but not melt into mush ne? Let’s see if I win…

I Don't Know You Anymore

Song by: Savage Garden

Songfic by: Ms. J. Helios

I would like to visit you for a while

<A lonely hospital room. Between beeping monitors and drawn shades is a single hospital bed containing a young looking comatose girl. >

Get away and out of this city

<Outside, Aya crosses a street and looks up to the hospital>

Maybe I shouldn't have called but someone had to be the first to break

<The view goes back into the hospital room where Aya sits beside his sister’s bed. >

We can go sit on your back porch

      Relax

<He stands to arrange a vase full of fresh red buds of roses by the bedside. His violet eyes shimmer in the slivers of sunlight that peek through the shades.>

      Talk about anything

      It don't matter

<The Roses slowly bloom under his touch, bringing a small but short-lived smile on his face>

I'll be courageous if you can pretend you've forgiven me

<Looking back at his prone sister, Aya remembers all the times he has killed…and winces.>

Because I don't know you anymore

<His hand drifts over Aya-chan’s face>

      I don't recognize this place

<He retracts his hand immediately and takes it back, as if burned>

The picture frames have changed and so has your name

<He walks out of the room and at the door we see the name, “Aya Fujimiya”>

      We don't talk much anymore

<There is a flash and we see Aya’s memories, of a childhood picnic that he and his sister shared. They’re both laughing and smiling while playing in the grass.>

We keep running from the pain

<Lightning flashes and we see Aya’s face as he walks through the rain without an umbrella>

But what I wouldn't give to see your face again

<He runs a hand through his wet hair and touches his earring almost absent-mindedly>

I know I let you down

      Again and again

<Lightning flashes and we see the Weiss Kreuz in action again.>

I know I never really treated you right

<A flash of a Katana, a screamed, “SHIIIIINE~!”>

      I've paid the price

<Back to Aya still in the pouring rain. He has stopped to watch a little girl trip inside a store.>

I'm still paying for it every day

<As he watches, her brother picks her up and asks if she’s alright.>

So maybe I shouldn't have called

<He turns away, to keep on walking in the pouring rain>

Was it too soon to tell?

      Oh what the hell

<He reaches the apartment he shares with the rest of the Weiss Kreuz. Shaking his hair rather absent-mindedly, he stomps his quiet and wet way up to his room>

      It doesn't really matter

<Later on, he’s by his window. He has taken off his earring and is holding it tightly in one hand>

How do you redefine something that never really had a name?

<The focus lies on the earring and we see a single tear drop fall upon it.>

      Has your opinion changed?

<And Aya’s hand slowly relaxes, letting the earring fall to the floor>

Because I don't know you anymore

<The next morning, Ken knocks on Aya’s door. No response so he opens it to find that it is empty.>

      I don't recognize this place

<Ken just shakes his head and closes it again.>

The picture frames have changed and so has your name

<We see the hospital room where Aya-chan is. She’s alone this time but the roses are still there, fully bloomed>

      We don't talk much anymore

<One by one, the rose petals fall from the flowers, scattering across the table>

We keep running from the pain

<With each falling petal we see partial images of Ran and Aya-chan. In each, Ran, or Aya-kun, is smiling>

But what I wouldn't give to see your face again

<Wind blows slightly through the partially opened blinds and they waft the light rose petals into the air.>

      I see your face

<They surround Aya’s bed, dancing in the air like small rose colored butterflies.>

      I see your face

<Slowly, they land upon her like frail crimson tears.>

**OWARI**

On that “cheerful” note I end this songfic. Ken’s up next, once I find a suitable song for him. And after that, we’ll be  back to Savage Garden, to wrap up this series.
