Ever since Andrew Pare and Dan Trojand were kids they would go to Andrew's house and jam is his garage playing hits that we all grew up with and living off Sunny-D and pop-tarts for a week straight. As cousins they would get together as much as possible.

Knowing Jake Friest from hockey, Andrew asked him to come over and jam with him and Dan in the summer of 2001. It was hard because Jake just started playing guitar and they all never played in a band before.

At a yard sale for Jake and Andrew's hockey team Jake was talking to Bobby Jacques about his new band he started. He heard that Bobby had been playing guitar for quite a while and asked him to come aboard and jam with him.

This was a great opportunity for the guys to put their heads together and make something out of this.

At first they played hits like Knowledge by Operation Ivy, Brainstew by Green Day, and All the Small Things by Blink 182. After playing the same three songs all the time the band needed to start singing.

Jake was the orginal singer since no one else the band could sing. So we started playing and Jake pulled out the lyrics and started to sing. It was hard for Jake to play and sing at the same time, so Jake would sing some songs and Bobby would sing some songs. After a while Jake wasn't satisfied with his singing and decided to make Bobby the lead singer so he could leave all his attention on his guitar.

One day Bobby started playing some chords and everyone played along. These chords were the music to their first song Real Big Boobs. In the following weeks a second song entitled Falling was then made.

The guys were having a hard time trying to figure out what their name could be. Names like the Muffs, which was already taken, came up. One day Andrew came up with the name NDG. The band went a long with it, and it stuck. NDG just sounded so origianl. That was the begining of NDG.

On April 30th, 2003, NDG added Pete Maxwell to the band to perform as the lead singer and Bobby would step down to play guitar and back up vocals. It was the start of the "New NDG".
