1. In a few weeks

A:  When is our midterm exam?

B: It’s in two weeks.

 

A: When will you come back?

B: I’ll be back in 15 minutes.

 

2.She wants her father to  be happy.

A: I want you to clean this room!

B: I want you to stop bothering me.

 

A: The doctor wants you to exercise, Dad.

B: Well, I don’t want the doctor to tell me what to do.

 

3.Is it all right with you if I go?

A: Wow! This cake looks delicious! Is it alright with you if I eat some?

B: It’s all right with me, but Peter made it.  Ask him.

 

4. Go for it

A: I’m so worried about asking Susan to go on a date with me.  What if she says, “no”?

B: Go for it! She won’t say, “no.” 

 

5. You think so?

A: I am sure she will say “yes” because you are so smart and handsome.

B: You think so? 

A: Of course!

B: Then, will YOU go on a date with me?

A: Ummm…..

 

6. I’m moving in with Jack.

A: My apartment is so expensive!

B: What do you think about moving in with me?  My apartment is big, and for two people, it will be very cheap.
