The man behind Deetron is Sam Geiser, 23 years old, born and still living in Bern. He first got into contact with music during his early childhood who began deejayin' Hip Hop in 1992.

He made his first sound experiments with a sampler in 1994 and an introduction to Stefan Riesen from Phont Music in 1997 led to his first release. He travelled to Japan for deejayin in 1998 and recorded the"Double Exposure Vol. 1" EP with DJ Shufflemaster in Tokyo for Phont Music. He then was contacted by Carl Cox for an EP on In-tec records where he released the successful "Alien Entertainment EP" which was played by the likes of Jay Denham, Claude Young, Jeff Mills and Laurent Garnier.

In 2000, Sam played sets at clubs all around Europe and his productions got licensed to many compilations around the globe. Surgeon invited him to play at the legendary House of God club in Birmingham (UK) in June aside from his residency at Trax@Rohstofflager in Zudich and the Loft in Lausanne.

In 2001, he releases an EP on Steve Bicknells label Cosmic (as Karakter), on Music Man (Belgium) and on Jay Denhams and Aaron Bennetts Kalamazoo-based label Black Nation. Furthermore he has been contacted just recently by Dave Angel for a release on his Rotation label, due out in the first half of 2001. He has also remixed trakcs by Samuel L. Session, K. Alexy Shelby, Orlando Voorn and Paul Mac. He is also in the midst of starting his own label Character.
