As the evening wore on, the four of them drank, ate, and laughed more than they had in months. It was about four in the morning before they decided to call it quits. They had a couple days before they were leaving again and Anthony had told them they would be staying at the hotel until then. They made plans for the next day to go out and do some sight-seeing and maybe take in a movie or something then Joey and Shay stumbled out the door, giggling as they waved goodbye. Whip watched them hold each other up as they made their way down the hall and laughed to herself. She stayed there until they waved one last time before shutting the door to their room. Turning, Whip smiled at Lance and gave the door a push as she started towards him. Just as she stepped forward, the door flew open, banging against the wall. Whip spun around, giving a little squeak.

"Hello precious," David snarled, shutting the door again and locking it, "You ran from me again honey. I don't like it when you run from me."

Lance, his eyes blazing, rushed over intent on hitting David again, but this time David had the advantage. He easily side-stepped Lance's attack and brought his fist down hard on the side of Lance's neck. Whip watched in horror as Lance slumped to the floor. She reached out to him, touching his face before she was pulled away roughly.

"It looks like I'm going to have to teach you a lesson in manners precious."

"No.....please..."

"Oh, there's no begging now. You've brought this on yourself....precious."

Whip cowered as David's hulking figure advanced on her. She knew that there was no way out of this and immediately she tried to think of some way to get help or at the very least, get Lance out of harm's way.

"Look, you can do what you want to me," Whip began, standing a little straighter, "I'll do anything you want. I'll go back with you. Just leave him alone." David glanced over at the limp figure on the floor and turned back to Whip, an evil smile snaking it's way across his features.

"So, that's how it is," he mused, thoughtfully rubbing his chin with his hand, "You and pretty boy here have been getting a little intimate haven't you?" Whip didn't answer and that was all the response David needed. Chuckling, he stared at Whip, his eyes flashing.

"You know what precious," he sneered, "I'm think I'm gonna make pretty boy pay for your indiscretions."

Whip's hands went to her mouth, covering it so she wouldn't scream. She shook her head slowly, mouthing the word no as her eyes fell on Lance. David laughed gleefully at her reaction.

"Oh, this is going to be sooo much fun."

Joey cursed under his breath. Dammit. Shay had fallen asleep almost immediately after they returned, leaving him wide awake and bored. Sighing, he got up and slipped out the door, heading back to Lance and Whip's room. Still very tipsy, Joey didn't even think and just opened the door, asking if they were asleep before he even looked up. Joey's eyes widened when they came across Lance, still lying where he'd fallen and he quickly looked up, his mouth dropping open when he saw David.

"Oh good," David said smiling, "I was hoping you'd come by."

He sounded as if Joey was an old friend, stopping by for a visit. Joey looked at Whip and she pleaded with her eyes for him to run. Joey spun and shot back out the door, heading back to his room.

"Fuck," David growled, "If you try to leave, I swear, I'll kill your fucking boyfriend, slowly and painfully and then I'll start on you." With that, David took off after Joey, cursing.

Joey slammed his door behind him, locking it quickly and ran over to the table, picking up the phone. He punched in a few numbers and paced, waiting for someone to answer. When a sleepy voice greeted him tersly, Joey hurriedly told them what was going on and that he needed help fast. Listening for a second, he nodded and agreed, then put the phone down. He picked it up again and was mid-dial when a loud knocking at the door made him pause. Shay turned over in her sleep and Joey finished dialing the number, pacing again.

As soon as David left, Whip rushed over to Lance and knelt down beside him, cradling his head in her lap. She caressed his cheek with her fingers and pulled away quickly when he turned his head a little. As quietly as she could, Whip talked to him, begging him to wake up. She knew that David wouldn't be gone for long and she wanted to make sure Lance was okay. Lance's eyes fluttered and slowly opened, trying to focus on her. Whip glanced up at the door again and moved to help Lance sit up.

"We've gotta hurry," Whip whispered, "He'll be back any second." Lance just rubbed his shoulder, stretching. He was still a little out of it and Whip was frantic, trying to get him up and out of there. Pulling him as hard as she could, she finally got him on his feet, although he was still leaning on her for support. Just as they started moving towards the door, a figure appeared, blocking their way.

"And just where do you think you're going?"

Whip's mouth opened and closed repeatedly, although no sound came out. David shook his head, amused at their tenacity. He entered the room, this time not even bothering to shut the door and before Whip could move, he'd punched Lance in the stomach, knocking them both backwards onto the bed. Lance let out a low groan, clutching his stomach, where David had hit him. Whip scooted quickly to the other side and stood up. David lunged for her, but this time she was the faster one and she ran around the bed, heading for the door. She glanced behind her, making sure that David had followed and ran faster, nearly tripping when she opened the door to the stairwell. Whip didn't even think, she ran down the stairs as fast as she could. She could hear David's heavier steps slowly closing in on her and she cried out, pushing herself even harder.

When she burst through the last door, blindly running out into the lobby, Whip was screaming and thought she probably looked like a mad-woman. Her hair was wildly sticking out and her eyes were wide with fear. She ran up to the desk and shrieked at the frightened woman behind the counter that she was being chased by a man who wanted to kill her. Looking back, she didn't see him and she slumped against the counter, knowing exactly where he'd gone.

"Oh no.....Lance," she breathed.

Joey couldn't stand it anymore. He had to see if Lance and Whip were okay. Slowly, he opened the door a crack, then wider, letting him see the hallway. Joey craned his neck to see down both ends. It was empty. As quick as he could, Joey rushed down to Lance and Whip's room, Afraid of what he'd see, he closed his eyes, took a deep breath and stepped into the room, opening them again. Lance was sitting up on the bed, his arms folded around his stomach, moaning. Joey quickly checked out the rest of the room, making sure no one else was there and helped his friend up off the bed. Lance barely recognized him and Joey knew he had to get him out of there before that lunatic came back.

"C'mon buddy," Joey urged, holding him up, "I got'cha."

Lance groaned again as they started to make their way down the hall to Joey's room. Joey didn't want to hurt him, but he knew they had to get Lance to that room as fast as possible, then he was going to go look for Whip. When they were safely inside, the door locked yet again, Joey woke Shay and quickly explained what was going on. Her eyes were wide with concern and she immediately went to Lance, asking him questions and finding out exactly where he was hurting. Lance was starting to come around a little bit more and answered her questions, his voice rasping. Joey started pacing again and told Shay what he was planning on doing.

"No, Joey," she snapped, "You're going to stay here, with Lance. I'm going to go look for Whip."

"Like hell you are...."

"Joe, think about it. He doesn't know me. He's never seen me. I'll be able to walk around the hotel and he won't realize what I'm doing."

Joey thought about it and shook his head.

"No, it's still too risky, Shay Bear."

Shay came over and stood in front of Joey, letting him slip his arms tightly around her hips. She placed a kiss on his forehead and tilted his face up.

"I'll be back soon....with Whip. You stay here and take care of Lance. He needs it."

Joey watched as she opened the door, peering down the hall before slipping out and closing it behind her. He then got up and locked it again. Where the hell were the security guys?  Irritated, he stormed over to the table and snatched up the phone, dialing the number again. He waited, listening to it ring. After about twenty rings, he slammed it down, cursing. Joey rubbed his chin, his eyes darting around the room. They settled on Lance again and he felt like he'd been kicked in the stomach. All he'd wanted to do tonight was help his friends forget about all this and now look what had happened. Joey sighed and walked over to the bed, sitting down beside Lance.

"Joe.....Wh....Whip?" Lance croaked. Joey put his arm around Lance's shoulder, pulling him close.

"I dunno man, I just dunno."
