The Highwayment TNT
I joined the Highwaymen TNT back in 1996, at the suggestion of a couple of friends who thought that the group would give me the network I had been looking for in the DC Gay community, and the years have defilitely proven them right.

I think the text on the Highwaymen Website explains best what the club is about: "Rather than identifying ourselves as a motorcycle club (MC), the Highwaymen designated our club 'TNT' These three letters have become the true meaning of our club. You see, they stand for 'Trash 'n Travel!' We are a fun, trashy group and we love to travel." Here is a picture of the group on  our recent retreat weekend at Coolfont Resort in West Virginia.
As you can see from the picture, the group is about as diverse as they come, including several members who are thoroughly dedicated to the Leather lifestyle, others who consider themselves more the "Levi" type. We have some Bears and more recently the group also includes women, two of whom served with me on the E-Board while I was President of the club in 2001. In the years before that I served as Social Chair, Secretary, and Second Vice President.  I also represented the club on the board of Brother Help Thyself (BHT), a major donor organization to local not-for-profit charities, particularly those serving the Gay and Lesbian community and subsequently on the Atlantic Motorcycle Coordinating Council (AMCC), which is an umbrella organization for all groups of this type in the area along the East Coast, though most of our member clubs are located between Virginia and New England..

At this point, I'm enjoying letting others take over and falling back into the ranks, as we continue to get new members attracted to the club by our diversity and cameraderie.
