Sneeuw (2)

Yes our very imaginative titles department has come up with another winner.  Welcome to Sneeuw2 a journey round the park in Rijswijk braving frisky and rabid dogs to bring you a set of photos to enjoy from your office or study – oh and some of the owners weren’t too friendly either but as they say it’s always the minority that spoils it.

Here we see the water just on freezing point

Two ducks looking for lunch but are they are ware that they might be on the menu though I’m sure they’re protected by some sort of statute so we leave it.

A rather moody shot of some ducks trying to keep warm in what is left of the water.

More romps and frolics with the gaggle of mallards.

More thin ice – not safe to walk across because I’m not Mat Le Tissier (stupid football joke please ignore)

A lone doe in the small zoo though she is just a bit away from the herd.

A stag watches over his herd – there was only one presumably to stop them fighting.  Before you say lucky bastard I bet he longs for a bit of male company and a few drinks with the other stags in the Red Lion.

A rare splash of colour brightens up the winter landscape.

More icy water and you can just make out the church at Rijswijk.

The sign says no fishing by the way in a more formal style of Dutch though the use of the language is changing with even Raymond “ik ben de Johan Cruijf van Darts” Barneveld using obscure constructs and word orderings.

One of those ever popular perspective shots.

And why not – the mathematics behind this was discovered by Pythagoras by the way.

A tram pulls into a stop on the popular Wateringse Veld to Statenkwartier lijn 17 via both main stations.

Free advertising for a leading oil company who has locations locally.  Don’t worry were not after any freebies after all you stopped giving away glasses years ago.  Was it Esso that came out with the collection of football coins by the way.

Another group shot ends the story.
