Bolt-on and C3 cam SE-R vs. Stock Type R

The chart below compares my 98 SE-R bolt-on and C3 dyno chart with a stock Type R chart. The Type R chart. The reason I used this Type R chart is becuase it was taken under similar conditions to my dyno chart. The temperature was 75.2 degrees and the barmometric pressure was 29.36 and the altitude was 0 feet. The pull was also done in 3rd gear. My dyno pull was done in a 78 degree temperature, 29.92 pressure, and 0 feet and in 3rd gear. Type Rs usually dyno between a high of 164 hp and a low of 156 hp. This particular Type R dynoed 158 hp and 113 lb-ft of torque.

My SE-R looses power to the Type R below 3500 rpm. The maximum hp loss is 5.5 hp at 3000 rpm. The maximum torque loss is almost 8 lb-ft at 3000 rpm. Average hp and torque loss is 3.52 hp and 4.35 lb-ft respectively. Above 3500 it is all SE-R :-) Maximum hp and torque gain is 21.31 hp and 24.21 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm. Average gain is 12.4 hp and 12.17 lb-ft of torque from 3500 all the way to the 7800 redline.
