| Movie One Japanese Title: Return My Gohan American Title: Dead Zone Released: July 15, 1989 |
| This movie is the first time that Garlic Jr. appears. His men, or Spice Boys if you prefer to call them that, kidnap Gohan who's only a toddler at the time, for the Dragonball that lays on top of his cap. Never the less, Goku speeds off to the rescue to save his son. Goku, along with Piccolo and Kuririn, finish off all of Garlic Jr.'s men, but Garlic Jr. himself is no easy match, for the reason that he managed to wish himself immortal, with the Dragonballs. Even though Garlic Jr. gets away with wishing himself immortal, Gohan demonstrates that he can be just as strong as his father, and with his power sends Garlic Jr. tumbling into the hell he created or the Dead Zone. He's destined to be trapped there for all eternity, but later on in the Dragonball Z series Garlic Jr. manages to slip out, but Gohan once again sends him back where he belongs. Overall in there isn't much to this movie, that's why I didn't go into detail about it, movie is kind of lame, but it was pretty funny to see Gohan drunk out of his mind. |

| Movie Two Japanese Title: The World's Stongest Man American Title: The World's Strongest Released: March 10, 1990 |
| On the way to search for the Dragonballs, in the snowy Zulmyzubri Mountains, Gohan and Oolong (Oolong wants to wish for ladies panties) realize that someone has beaten them to the punch, when Shenlong (Eternal Dragon) appears right before them. Turns out that an evil mad scientist named Dr. Kochin calls upon the dragon to wish back another evil mad scientist named Dr. Wheelo, who has been trapped in ice for 50 years. Embarrassed about what he was about to wish for, Oolong makes Gohan promise not to mention anything about what they saw and what they where doing, the time they where gone searching for the Dragonballs. But when Dr. Kochin shows up at Kame House and forces Master Roshi and Bulma to go with him, Oolong has no choice but to tell Goku what happened. Of course Goku heads off to the rescue. Turns out that Dr. Kochin is Dr. Wheelo's assistant, and Dr. Wheelo's is just a big brain with tubes, incased in liquid. Dr. Wheelo wants revenge against the human race, so he searches for the body of the world's strongest man, to go with his brain and decides to go after Master Roshi, but after realizing that it has been 50 years and Roshi's not what he used to be, Wheelo finds out from Bulma that Goku is the world's strongest man. Dr. Kochin is killed by Dr. Wheelo, cause he sees that he has no more use for him. Goku, of course refuses to be taken over by an evil brain and with the help of Kuririn, Piccolo, Master Roshi, Gohan's anger tantrums, and a Genki Dama (Sprit Bomb) Dr. Wheelo is defeated. Overall the movie was alright, but I think Dr. Wheelo should have been a person instead of a brain. |

| Movie Three Japanese Title: Ultimate Battle for Earth American Title: The Tree of Might Released: July 7, 1990 |
| While on a camping trip, Gohan, Kuririn, Oolong, and Bulma, find themselves having to put out a forest fire caused by a fallen meteor. Seeing the forest in disaster, the group decides to wish it back it's beauty, with the Dragonballs. This is when Gohan get his pet dragon, Higher Dragon (Ikeris). Turns out that what hit the Earth wasn't a meteor, but a space probe sent to Earth to check the soil contents. The person who ordered th eprobe to be sent was a Saiyajin named Turles (Goku's identical except with a darker tan). The probe sends readings back to Turles confirming that the Earth's soil is perfect for planting a so called Tree of Might. With one seed, planted by Turles's men calling themselves the Crusher Turles Corps, the tree immediately takes root and grows enormously huge. The tree is so damn big that it sticks out of the Earth. King Kai warns Goku about the tree. The tree is meant to produce a fruit that increases highly ones energy level. But in order for the fruit to get this energy, it has to drain it from the Earth, leaving the Earth as a lifeless desert. So Goku, Kuririn, Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Chaozu head off to destroy the tree, before it's too late. After fighting with the Crusher Turles Corps, for a while, Gohan shows up with Higher Dragon (Ikeris) to help. After Turles sees Gohan fighting, he realizes that he's saiyajin, and asks him to join him on his evil world dominating crusades. Gohan refuses his offer and Turles decides to finish him off, but Piccolo shows up and saves him. Piccolo is easily knocked away by Turles. When Turles sees that Gohan's tail has grown back he launches an artificial moon to the sky and forces Gohan to stare at it, causing him to turn into his Oozaru form. Gohan manages to get a hold of Goku and starts squeezing him to death, but he quickly settles down when Higher Dragon (Ikeris) appears in front of him. Furious about what he's seeing , Turles shoots away the dragon, enraging Gohan and making him turns against Turles. Before Turles can shoot Gohan away, Goku manages to cut off Gohan's tail, turning him back to normal. Goku and Turles begin to fight and after realizing that Goku is stronger than he imagined, Turles snatches a fruit from the Tree of Might and eats it, making him more powerful. Goku makes a Genki Dama (Sprit Bomb), and launches it at Turles, but because there wasn't much energy left on Earth, Turles easily blows the bomb away. Goku makes another attempt on the Genki Dama (Spirt Bomb), this time gathering energy from the tree itself and not only does it destroy Turles, but alson the tree. The tree then releases all the energy life back to the Earth. Overall the movie seem long to me, it would have been more interesting if the movie would have told a little history about Turles. |

| Movie Four Japanese Title: Super Saiya-jin Son Goku Released: March 19, 1991 |

| Movie four begins with Piccolo mediating by a waterfall. Gohan then shows up to show Piccolo how he's taught Higher Dragon (Ikeris) to dance to his whistling. Gohan begins whistling forgetting about Piccolo's sensitive hearing. Piccolo literally tells Gohan to shut up, but their attention is turned else where when they feel a strong presenxe heading towards them. Meanwhile Dr. Brief's discovers that some kind of meteor is heading straight towards the Earth. People every where start panicking, and Goku and Kuririn head off to destroy the meteor, but their attacks are no match for it. The meteor is about to strike the Earth, but makes a sudden upward turn and just barley misses the planet. The meteor then suddenly explodes. Everyone is relieved that they're alive, but are puzzled to see that a spaceship has crashed on Earth. A group of soldiers in space suits come out of the ship and one declares that from that moment on the Earth belongs to Lord Slug, the king of the universe and ruler of the galaxy. Everyone finds this hilarious, so the soldiers start firing at the crowd. Gohan right away begins attacking the soldiers revealing that the reason they're wearing space suits is because they're sensitive to the sun. From the inside of his ship, Lord Slug notices that Gohan's carrying a Dragonball on his hat and somehow knows exactly what it's for. Lord Slug comes out of his ship and takes the Dragonball off Gohan's hat. That's when one soldier explains that Lord Slug wants to use the Earth as a cruiser. After reading Bulma's mind, Lord Slug takes her radar and orders his soldiers to find the Dragonballs. Lord Slug then wishes himself everlasting youth. He then sends a satellite out to orbit that releases dark clouds all aroung the Earth, blocking the sun out. Never the less Gohan, Piccolo, Goku, and Kuririn go after Lord Slug to stop him. Young and powerful once again Lord Slug turns out to be a harder match that expected. Goku is about to be beaten by Slug, but he gets this sudden burst of energy. Upset Slug tells Goku he'll have to show him his true power. Being covered up before, Slug takes off his hat and selves to reveal that he's a Namek and grows into a giant. Slug grabs a hold of Goku and begins squeezing him to death, but then Piccolo jumps on Slug's head and grabs a hold of his antennas. Annoyed, Slug lets go of Goku and grabs a hold of Piccolo, who tells Slug that he knows his weak points. Piccolo then rips off his ears and yells at Gohan to whistle like he did earlier that day. Gohan begins whistling causing causing Slug a lot of pain, which gives Piccolo a chance to give Goku some of his energy. Goku then firing up his Kio Ken, sends himself flying right through Slug. Goku then concentrates on getting rid of the clouds, but while flying up towards them Slug, still alive goes after him. Stopping above the clouds, Goku asks the sun for energy, makes a Genki Dama (Sprit Bomb), and sends it flying at Slug finally finishing him off. Overall I found this movie to be silly and sorry. Also there was no super saiyajin Goku in this movie. |
| The movie begins in the past. It's basically when Bardock (Goku's dad) goes up against Freezer (Freeza), in trying to defend Planet Vegeta and how at the same time Goku was sent off to Earth. In a near by ship four unknown aliens observe Freezer (Freeza) as he destroys Planet Vegeta and notices that a saiyajin pod had escaped from the exploding planet. An alien, who looks very much like Freezer (Freeza), says not to shoot it down, that it's Freezer's (Freeza) problem. He also mentions that Freezer (Freeza) has much to learn. In the present time, Goku's hollering at Gohan to hurry up his studying so that they can go camping with Oolong and Kuririn. While camping the group gets sabotaged by a group of three who strike familiar Giniu Force poses and call themselves Kooler's Armored Squadron. The group turn out to be looking for Goku, knowing that he was the one who killed Freezer (Freeza). Goku and the squad begin fighting, but quickly stop when the Freezer (Freeza) look alike shows up. Turns out that the stranger is Kooler, Freezer's (Freeza) brother and he wants to finish off the rest of the saiyajin's. Kooler shoots at Gohan, but Goku gets a hold of him and takes the hit. The two then fall into a river and go over a waterfall. Kooler tells his squad to find them. Gohan hides himself and Goku, who's badly hurt, in a cave. Frustrated that they can't find them, Kooler's squad fires furiously at the whole forest, and still with no sign of them, Kooler insist that they're still alive and that they need to keep searching. Meanwhile Oolong, Kuririn, and Higher Dragon (Ikeris) search for Gohan keeping a down low. They find Gohan and Goku in the collapsed cave and Gohan reminds Kuririn to keep his energy level down, but while Oolong frees a rabbit caught under a rock, he lets loose other rocks above him giving Kuririn no other choice but to blast them away. The Kooler Squad scouters pick up the power, but are distracted when a huge dinosaur passes them by. Kuririn decides to hid Goku else where while Gohan goes off ot Korin's tower to get some senzu beans. Yajirobe gives Gohan a bag full and before leaving he gives him one more, which Gohan tucks away in his belt. On the way back from Korin's, Gohan gives a bean to Higher Dragon (Ikeris) to help him fly faster, but they end up flying to fast and the Kooler's squad scouters quickly pick them up. Gohan is badly beaten, but Piccolo come to his rescue (nothing new). Piccolo finishes off two of the three squad members, but while battling the third Kooler shows up and fires at Piccolo, badly injuring him. Kooler then orders his last solider to go after Gohan. Gohan makes it back to where Goku, Kuririn, and Oolong are waiting for him, but while handing Kuriring the bag of senzus, the bag is shot at and disintegrated by what's left of Kooler's squad. Kuririn goes up against the last soldier and in the mean time Gohan remembers about the senzu bean that he tucked away in his belt and gives it to his father. Kuriring is easily beaten and so is Gohan, but suddenly Goku gets back his strenght and goes up against the last soldier. Kooler then shows up and throws an almost lifeless Piccolo to the ground. Enraged Goku knocks out the last soldier only with his power and goes after Kooler. Like Freezer (Freeza), Kooler can transform and does. Goku tries using his Kio Ken attacks, but they do nothing to Kooler. Goku gets beaten up badly by Kooler, but after seeing visions of his fallen friends and son, he becomes angry and goes sper saiyajin. Desperate to win, Kooler does a Freezer (Freeza) trick and sends a huge blast towards the Earth to destroy it. Just like Trunks did when he first showed up on DBZ, Goku stops the blast with his own hands and sends it back towards Kooler. Along with the blast Kooler is sent flying into the sun. While roasting away Kooler remembers about how he told his squad not to shoot the pod Goku was in down. He also mentions that Freezer (Freeza) wasn't the only one who had much to learn. Back on Earth Goku rejoices with the others when all of a sudden Kooler's left over soilder appears ready to fight, but is easily killed by Piccolo from a far distance. Overall I liked this movie cause it was good to see that Goku didn't use a Genki Dama (Sprit Bomb) and who would have known Freezer (Freeza) had a brother. |
