Trilliums

At left: This Catesby's Trillium (Trillium catesbaei) was found growing along Indian Grave Road in Caldwell County in late April.  What a beauty!
At right: The Catawba River Greenway in Morganton, NC is a great place to see these Little Sweet Betsy Trilliums (Trillium cuneatum) in late March and early April.  They completely cover the ground in some spots!
At left: This Wake Robin Trillium (Trillium erectum) was found growing along the Jacob's Fork River at South Mountains State Park in mid April.
At right: We found the beautiful Painted Trillium (Trillium undulatum) growing along Curtis Creek Road in early May.
