Ranks and Requirements

Thank you to my Craftsecond, Qinan, and my Apprentice Master, Lyxia...and to everyone else in the craft for their ideas and suggestions that have helped in forming these promotion requirements and responsibilities!

Master

OOC: Represent craft at all times, whether posted at the hall or away. Some running and planning of TP's, some teaching of online classes (IC or OOC)

IC: Mastership denotes a high level of knowledge in a woodsmiths particular subcraft. It means they know just about all there is to know about the subject (though there is always more to learn)

Area Master

The Area Masters are considered the best of the best in that particular subcraft. It is believed that these five individuals know as much as there is to know about their area of WoodCrafting. The Area Masters are responsible for overseeing the woodsmiths that have elected to choose their subcraft. They plan and oversee the training and education of sr. apprentices and all Journeymen and Masters in their area of the craft. They either teach or find teachers for the senior apprentices and Journeymen. The craft leaders rely on the Area Masters in helping to decide on promotions.

The Area Masters are appointed by the Craftmaster and Craftsecond. They look for dedicated and active players in that subcraft.

Current Area Masters are:

The Area Master positions of Carving, Carpentry, Tools, and Processes are currently held by NPC's. If you are interested in becoming an Area Master, please talk to Malia and Qinan.

Apprentice Master

The Apprentice Master is in charge of all the apprentices (all levels) at the hall. The AM oversees their training and coordinates their chore schedules with the Headwoman. The AM also assists the craft leaders in deciding promotions and keeps detailed records of apprentice progress. OOC: Apprentice Master Lyxia keeps online and offline records on the progress of each apprentice. Other duties include maintaining the knot, providing RP and TP possibilities to apprentices, assigning chores and all the other duties that go along with an admin position.

The Apprentice Master is considered an admin of the WoodCraft and is appointed by the Craftmaster and Craftsecond.

Craftsecond

The Craftsecond is considered the second-in-command of the WoodCraft. His decisions are as final as the Craftmasters. He will step in for the Craftmaster as needed. The Craftsecond also assists in the running of the craft and oversees all woodsmiths.

OOC: Craftsecond Qinan keeps records of all woodsmiths, assists in the development and execution of TP's and RP events, keeps the knot information up-to-date, helps make decisions on promotions and craft business, helps to keep the hall coded and up-to-date, and helps to keep +lhelp up-to-date.

The Craftsecond is considered an admin of the WoodCraft and is appointed by the Craftmaster.

Craftmaster

The Craftmaster is responsible for the WoodCraft as a whole. She oversees the training of apprentices, journeymen and masters...as well as the day-to-day running of the hall.

OOC Craftmaster Malia maintains offline records on each woodsmith, maintains website, maintains the the WoodCraft's rooms and exits, maintains +lhelp, deals with the day-to-day +mail correspondance of the craft, and a hundred other little duties that come up daily.

The Craftmaster is an admin of the WoodCraft.
