Chris Chetti d. Big Vito via countout   [11:27]
Rating: *1/4

A decent matchup to set the ball rolling as it were. Chetti seemed wise to many of Vito's moves and was able to produce a nice display of counter wrestling. Big Vito attempted flying bodypress, that Chetti ducked to avoid, which sent him over the top rope and land awkwardly. The referee had no choice but to make the 10 count and hand the victory to Chetti.

Wrath d. Tom Prichard after the Meltdown   [14:14]
Rating: **

Prichard tried everything in this to try and overcome Wrath's power advantage ... and failed. Wrath almost seem to toy with his opponent before levelling him with a few high-impact moves and sending the crowd into a frenzy with the Meltdown.

Brian Christopher d. Essa Rios after a piledriver   [14:36]
Rating: **

Two of the MAW's lightweight's battled it out in an enthralling showing. Lot's of exciting high-flying moves were on show with the advantage swaying back-and-forth throughout. The end arrived when Christopher caught Rios attempting a hurricanrana, and delivered a tremendous piledriver.

Too Cold Scorpio d. Roadkill after the 450 Splash   [2:33]
Rating: **

Roadkill entered this match a little 'too' enthusiastically. He had a full head of steam from the get go and it cost him as he made mistake after mistake. Roadkill whipped Scorpio into the corner and charged in. Scorpio managed to move at the last second which saw Roadkill connect with nothing but turnbuckle. With his opponent now dazed on the mat, Too Cold managed to swiftly climb the post and deliver his finisher.

Shawn Stasiak d. Jerry Lawler after the Hangman Neckbreaker   [15:38]
Rating: 1/2*

This one dragged on a little longer than the crowd would've liked.  A solid showing from both competitors without anything spectacular saw Stasiak pick up the win.

Ahmed Johnson won a four-corner match.
Ahmed Johnson d. Jean-Pierre LaFitte after the Pearl River Plunge in 37m34s
Ahmed Johnson d. Ken Shamrock after a running powerslam in 43m16s
Ahmed Johnson d. The Barbarian after the Pearl River Plunge in 51m58s
Rating: **1/4

What a main event to kick off the MAW's first show and Ahmed Johnson dominated it!  The Pearl River Powerhouse sent out a message to the entire roster that he's here for one thing, and that's gold.  It started pretty much as expected, frequent tags, momentum shifts, basically each wrestler in turn attempting to get the upper-hand.  But then, Johnson shifted the action up a gear.  One-by-one he took out his oppenents with awesome power moves that had the crowd going nuts.  Even Harvey Wippleman, Barbarian's manager, wasn't excluded as he got nailed with a solid right hand when trying to get the refs attention.  The attending fans gave Ahmed a standing ovation while he stood celebrating in the ring as the show went off air.
