Theme/Mood:
As you lift your muzzle to the cool night air, the smells of the city in the near distance waft back to you along with those of the Caern surrounding you. A Warder glances at you and moves on as recognition is made, patrolling constantly around the perimeter of the bawn. Arkady's Lodge looms ever-present on one side of the Caern, massive and comforting in its feeling of home. Others move about and go to their own business as the night wears on, but you've completed your chores and make your way to the stream, walk along it's edge to the rock face and shift to homid form to climb to the top, shift back, and sit to wait. Before long, your wait is over and you raise your muzzle to Greet the Moon.
The Storytellers of the Garou Venue wish to bring out the creativity and quick-witted response in our players, as well as well-thought out strategic moves. If you think Garou has all the thought and brainpower necessary as an episode of an 80s cartoon show, then come and let us prove you wrong. Come let us twist your perception to the point that you find yourself wanting to howl at the moon for real. To set the mood, a good way to do so is music. Try some Native American music, or flowing natural-types of sounds. Urban primitives stalking their prey and their predators. A different World of Darkness than the WoD of the other venues, for the most part Garou are creatures of Rage and emotion that tears at them from the inside out. We want concepts that show some subtle mannerisms, in depth characters what kind of stories did your Garou listen to at the knees of her grandparents? If you need to go OOC, find an IC reason for your character to leave.
Character restrictions:
Stargazer Lupus Ahroun Characters will be looked at with the HIGHEST scrutiny we want not only detailed backgrounds in advance, we want their entire thought processes and attitudes in advance, why can't this concept be played as another breed? Tribe? Auspice? The reason for this hard look is the min-max potential of that concept. Due to the nature of the plotlines planned, we will also be discouraging concepts involving defecting from the Wyrm not that they won't be allowed, we just want highly detailed reasoning and backgrounds. If you bring us a Male non-metis Black Fury concept we will point at you and giggle and snort. Male Metis Black Fury concepts will be looked at rather stiffly too.
Proxy rules:
As per current Cam supplement and also need this additional info:
Travel risks:
To arrive in the city of Omaha, there is little in the way of dangers from the Mundane world as of yet however, anyone arriving through the Tellurian will be get an uneasy feeling as they pass through Bellevue (an Omaha suburb) whether they have the Gift "Sense Wyrm" or not. Anyone arriving through the Umbra will notice nothing really out of the ordinary aside from an immediate want to leave the city limits of Bellevue. Any visiting Garou will be met with an adequate level of caution.
Challenges:
As per current Cam supplement. Challenges against other players can continue without Narrator supervision
as long as BOTH players agree to a consensual challenge, if not, then a Narrator must be present to officiate. No challenge that involves the possible death of a character can be considered consensual. No challenge against non-sentients can be considered consensual.
Player Notes:
Any rules questions/discussions will only be conducted in the designated Out Of Character areas.

Style:
The Garou Venue games we host here tend to follow the thematic of defending the caern against all comers, with various oddities around town that threatens to expose the Garou and breach the Veil meaning that the locals catch wind of odd situations and try to figure if it's something to worry about or ignore and then if they should do something or not.
Antagonists:
The main antagonists are actually more of a Weaver bent than just straight Wyrm. It keeps the players guessing as to who is and is not one of the "bad guys" making for a more enjoyable game. Omaha is home to a detachment of Fomori and Drones working apparently together and in many ways. The Caern is a major focal point for gathering, just as any Sept. However, there is a growing faction amongst the denizens of city-dwellers. Theyve even bought themselves a building downtown.
Venue antagonists are spirits, fomori, drones and typical BSD packs.
Venue rules:
If you announce to the Narrator that your Garou is "taking any and all the time necessary" to cross the Gauntlet, no test to do so is necessary unless there is a special situation of which youll be informed by the Narrator.
The gift Spirit of the Fray is interpreted in this Domain with the following effects: you may only use it in response to an attack on you, not if you initiate the attack and not if you are surprised. Further, it does not give you a non-combat action for movement or any other action, as it is a combat-specific Gift.
XP awarding is unaltered from Laws of the Wild p202, except that the base award is 2xp instead of 1xp. (Base 2xp per game, with additional xp for exceptional roleplaying, etc.)
No variation from suggested influence setup in Prime.
