Theme/Mood:
A friend forever will be an enemy in five minutes. The World of Darkness in Omaha is a secretive covert world. What you wear and how you act will decide what information you gain throughout the night. The gangs don't like talking to people in suits, the government officials don't like talking to bums. To find out what you need to know to survive these nights you must go out and seek out the information. Nothing just falls into your lap, you have to work at survival. Try to talk your way out of a bad situationKif that does not work, hit first, hit hard, run fast. And COVER IT UP. Breaches of the Masquerade are not taken well in this city. Come take a look at Omaha now, things are changing. Someone is trying to take over the city one person at a time. Will you be next? Is this mysterious person kindred? Mortal? Garou? Something else? It is up to you to find out what it is and what it wants. Are you willing to risk your unlife to save all you have worked for? Life is not pretty in the night of Omaha. People die, things break. Things die and people break. Everyone on every corner is a possible enemy, or ally. Every dark shadow you walk through could be your last. Or there could be a friend waiting to help hide you from the monster that's been following you for the past six blocks.

The World of Darkness is not all guns and puissance. There is a certain amount of finesse required to make it through the night in Omaha. Challenges are necessary, yes, but I try to encourage social interaction to get out of a situation. Double talk and devious half truths can go a long way. I understand that players are mere mortals and as such may know less than their characters, and so challenges are needed in some situations. Almost all of the plotlines that will be instituted will be what I call passive. This means that plot hooks will not follow you to the gathering and nudge your leg. You must interact with your city to find out what's going on. You must contact your contacts, use your influences, and just plain investigate to find the clues that will add up. There will be a few dead end hooks, I can't let you figure it out all that easily, can I?

Character restrictions:
I will now allow rogue Tremere concepts, I will give highest scrutiny to incomplete or vague concepts. I will discourage concepts of characters that are one clan but wish they were another, or "Clan haters". If you write up a Toreador who hates their clan and wishes they were Brujah, write up a Caitiff. Only the most original of these concepts will be accepted. I will sing and dance happily at concepts that are thorough and in depth and new. If you come up with a concept that is new and fresh for an upper level approval I will do what I can to help get it approved.

Proxy rules:
As per current Cam supplement. Send the following information to the CST at [email protected]

Travel risks:
None specified.

Challenges:
As per current Cam supplement. Challenges against other players can continue without narrator/ST supervision ONLY if all parties consent. If not, then a narrator/ST MUST be present for the challenge to be sanctioned. Challenges involving character death, non-sentients, inanimate objects, or NPCs MUST be done through a narrator/ST.

Player Notes:
Pre-Game Pre-game will consist of influence rumors and last minute preparations. If you do not make it to pre-game, it will be assumed that you decided not to contact your influences for rumors and didn't need to do anything before game begins (unless prior arrangements have been made with the CST). This is also the time that character sheets and item cards will be OK'd and signed if need be.

Game Game will start promptly no matter who is or is not there. If you are late, so is your character.

I will not allow rules arguments with the ST. You will be warned the first time, you will sit some time out the second time, you will be denied XP and asked to leave the third time.

Style:
The kind of game I want to provide is a dark world of darkness. Life is not pretty in the night of Omaha. People die, things break. Things die and people break. Everyone on every corner is a possible enemy, or ally. Every dark shadow you walk through could be your last. Or there could be a friend waiting to help hide you from the monster that's been following you for the past six blocks.

Antagonists:
The main antagonists for now seem to be nothing more than just mere mortals with high ambitions. It's possible that some of them work for a much darker force, but not all of them. The all-encompassing plot line is "A friend forever is an enemy five minutes later".

No specific venue antagonists specified.

Venue rules:
The only special way that the rules will be implemented and enforced is that I will not allow argument during roleplay. If you argue a rules call with me you will find yourself sitting out of game for a bit.

XP awarding is unaltered from LotNRev p122, except that the base is 2xp instead of 1. (Base 2xp per game, with additional xp for exceptional roleplaying, etc.)

Initial blood pool test is unaltered from LotNRev p106.

No variation from suggested influence setup in Prime.
