Theme/Mood:
The Sabbat claws through the Omaha nights like a plague. Here dizzying excesses meet with razor-thin subtleties. Here passion and fanaticism play hand in hand with ennui and apathy. Here we tell stories that try men’s souls. Our theme is one of Desperation. The Sabbat is not, never has been strong in Omaha. They are the underdog, the misunderstood. They are the freedom fighters who war for truth and the way of life they have chosen, but who spend just as much time fighting amongst themselves for control as they do taunting the enemy. Our mood is Conflagration. The Omaha Sabbat is at War. We hope to find and pull the delicate strings of war-time sagas in this Venue, from love under fire to sacrifice to ultimate cruelty. Come and explore the edge of tension with us- the very line between good and evil, between righteousness and degradation. Come and live – or un-live- to the hilt; fast and furious. Come join the Sabbat – and hold on to your soul.

Out-Of-Character Specifics:
Players who wish to join the House of the Ivory Serpent must understand that ours is a Chapter of underdogs. Though we welcome all players, our theme of Desperation makes certain character concepts less playable than others. The primary venue is Sabbat, where characters are organized into Packs. Each Pack will have a Narrator responsible for running intra-pack plotlines – and so characters that deliberately choose not to join a Pack will be at a disadvantage and so discouraged by the ST staff. The Sabbat as a venue requires a high level of maturity in both players and staff, and so extra-careful evaluation of character concept and motive is to be expected. Game will begin promptly at 7 PM, with the ST available at Anarchy Comics at 6 PM for character questions and approvals. Because of the war-time storyline, the ST must be available in game to handle immediately any number of plot situations – so pre-approval of all characters is a must. A five minute warning will be given before start of game to give players a chance to get ‘in-character’.

Character restrictions:
None. Players interested in creating new characters should contact the CST ahead of game, or arrange to arrive at 6 PM before game start at 7.

Proxy rules:
As per current Camarilla rules supplement. All proxies will have limited approval, but will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Characters being proxied are expected to have an IC reason for coming, and the player must contact the CST a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Expect to discuss with the CST the character’s motivations, history, and any important tips for effectively role-playing the character. Proxies will only be played by the ST/Narration staff. Any variance is completely subject to ST approval.

Travel risks:
None specified. The Omaha Sabbat is at War. This is one reason why proxies and new characters are subject to such intense approval. It is highly unlikely that any new character would be able to waltz in to a Sabbat gathering unannounced. Please consider what Sabbat contacts could have provided your character with the location of the Sabbat gathering you wish to attend. Attachment to any current character is highly encouraged. Players who ‘show up’ without clearing with the ST staff ahead of time will be asked politely to wait in the OOC area until a ST has time to deal with them.

Challenges:
As per current Camarilla supplement.

Style:
The Sabbat. Fire. Energy. Shadow and light. Frenzy and honor, Beast and burden. Shock. Mystery. War.

We are here to explore the terrible world of conflict. We are here to weave a saga of rich drama and life out of the madness and chaos of existence among the un-dead. We are here to encourage players to learn about the cruelty of those who walk paths of enlightenment and reject all humanity; to seek out the meaning behind the sacrifice of eternal life for a cause; to learn about true loyalty, brotherhood, and betrayal. Things are raw here. Unfinished. Desperate.

From the deepest conviction of Ritae to the blood lust of battle, emotions are meant to be heightened here. Nerves scraped raw. Players should expect the unexpected- Storytellers should be ready to take players on a ride they will never forget through the deepest and strangest reaches of the human and vampiric condition.

The theme of Desperation means that the ST staff of this venue will strive to keep things on a constant boil. Things should never get ‘settled down’. This will not suit the style of play for some, and so we must make it clear from the beginning that this is the theme of the Venue. Everyone should be able to experience something truly unique here. Players should not expect to ‘know everything’ or have the right to all the information. It will never happen. On the flip side, the game will be structured around the Pack units. Each Character should belong to a Pack, and solitary characters will be placed in Pack as soon as it is possible. This focus on the Pack means that characters and players should be able to engage in stories that feature companionship. Relationship, close bonds and loyalty should be co-themes – something that is not nearly so possible in the Camarilla venue. This is team-style play. Each Pack will have an assigned Narrator, someone who will run intra-pack affairs and conflicts, and provide the ST staff with information for cross Pack storylines. This means that hopefully we will have a very low player to Narrator ratio- something which should make for good and speedy conflict resolution. Narrators will be encouraged to know the members of their pack very well and to run at least one Pack-centered plotline each game. Narrators and ST staff should be prepared to meet at Anarchy Comics at 6 PM before each game to go over nightly plotlines, and also ST staff should be prepared to attend a monthly meeting.

This is a War-time venue; therefore characters may be killed in play here. It is expected that conflict will not only happen, but that it happens on a regular basis. Characters that are challenged to Monomancy will be expected to play to the death. It is for this reason that players are encouraged to research the venue carefully before sending Proxies here. The largest effect that this game will have on the greater chronicle is the possibility of actually winning the war. The ST staff of this venue will be working carefully with the Domain Staff to further the greater plotline of the City. Because we will be a Chapter Venue and no longer a Domain Venue, we will expect to host characters whose players are technically of other chapters. The ST staff will work carefully to make sure that all those who wish to play are included, and that character concepts and expectations are conveyed on a consistent basis.

Antagonists:
No specific venue antagonists specified.

Venue rules:
Full experience will be earned for actively role-playing, playing in costume, and for staying in-character. This earns 2 xp. Bonus experience points can be earned for exceptional role-play, and players can be nominated for this experience by any Narrator. (Base 2xp per game, with additional xp for exceptional roleplaying, etc.)

Initial blood pool test is unaltered from LotNRev p106.

No variation from suggested influence setup in Prime.
