Theme/Mood:
The CotLH will be played, of course, in White Wolf's World of Darkness, where the players have a great opportunity to affect a plotline not only in their own group, but to affect a much larger plotline as well. While the world is usually pretty bleak, there are occasional opportunities for enlightenment and plain old fashioned fun. People will have the opportunity to interact with players from around the country from time to time, or more frequently through participation in one of hundreds of lists across the globe. This is different from the traditional RP opportunity, as it is truely a game on a much grander scale than ever before.
While no member is required to play or attend any game, most will find that the opportunity to interact in person heightens the opportunity of RP. Much more can be accomplished when one meets face to face. While people can proxy in characters, you place the life of the character completely in another's hands. The risk you take is your own.
Character restrictions:
No special rules beyond the current Cam supplement.
Proxy rules:
No special rules beyond the current Cam supplement.
Travel risks:
Only travel risks are those endemic to the region. Lupines and autarkis gangrel occasionally will protest PC's that travel in a less than quiet manner.
Challenges:
No special rules beyond the current Cam supplement. Opportunities for conflict exist through play with influences.

Passed Thespis (y/n): No
Style:
The game will incorporate various elements of antagonist play, interaction with NPC allies, Influence and being influenced by mortal society and various problem solving elements. Many of the games will interweave two or more of these elements together. We will also allow character driven storylines, as sometimes, these are among the most interesting plots and guide them along.
Antagonists:
Venue antagonists will be comprised of Sabbat, Anarch and Independent vampires, and mortals. As this is a rural area, depending on the players' actions, lupine packs are a possibility, but will not be a constant threat.
Venue rules:
We will try to incorporate the Protocols, but the major following or not is dependent upon the PCs.
Blood pool test is unaltered. Travelling characters will be one blood trait down per day of travel, in addition to the single one from waking that evening. Please see ST regarding feeding encounters.
No variation from suggested influence rules in Prime 5.1.
XP awarding is as follows:
Visiting character/plot policy:
Travel can always be troublesome. I will welcome most anything to come to the game, however, there are consequences to your actions. The Prince will have to have a heavier hand IC, but for very strange items, I will want to see how someone got the mobile LAW rocket launcher. If someone is going to bring something strange down here, have the CST/DST send me a message to forwarn me. Make sure to have your character sheets signed, as well as item cards.
Those visiting PC's who do not have a valid C/D/RST signature on their Character Sheet will not be able to initiate any challenge. They may defend themselves if attacked.
As we are more than two hours away from the nearest NC region chapter, travel and planning are a necessity. I request that any player planning on attending our game each month send notice a minimum of 48 hours in advance, to me as lead ST at the following email address: [email protected]. Additionally, please include MC if over MC9 and if you are playing an elder character, please note this in your message as well. This will allow me to know in advance what I need to provide you all, as players, with to make the game more enjoyable for all involved.
