Place/Time:
The games are held at the Colorado Springs Police Department, on the corner of Nevada and Rio Grande, during the winter time. During the summer it is held in Monument Valley Park. Fridays, Game checkin 6:00 Game start 7:00-7:30 pm
We are asking for donations at the door to help cover the cost of site fee's, snacks, supplies and the like. We would like to have a minumum of 2$ per person, however that is not required.
IC Event Locations and Times:
Varies. See contact info.
OOC Directions:
Varies. See contact info.
This VSS covers the Colorado Springs domain, which covers a 30 mile radius from the center of Colorado Springs. Cripple Creek is within that 30 mile radius (as an example.)
Theme/Mood:
As the games are strictly player-driven moment by moment, there is no stated theme and there is no stated mood outside of "City trying to hold it's own."
Character restrictions:
All characters are welcome, however, we do limit the number of special approval characters in play at any given time. I have little difficulty with Ravnos, Giovanni, or any other independant, but I do request that the player bring an alternate character of one of the seven camarilla clans, just in case the independant is not allowed. The previous statement excludes Gangrel.
Proxy rules:
As per current Cam supplement. Proxied characters face the same potential possibility that their
character may die or worse at the game. All players who proxy characters are assumed to understand this aspect. The characters that are proxied must be sent within 12 hours to the DST [email protected] as per our current supplement (pc sheet, xp log, summary of what the character is doing, and any special approvals (rst nst etc) along with the proxied pc's
Storyteller's name, cam #, and email.
If you need challenges run for your character for any reason I need a copy of the chararcter sheet complete with xp log. This is in reference to any use of Expert level or Higher Auspex, Possesion, Dominate, or other power/discipline that allows a character to not be present. (send email to Kit Flint at [email protected].)
Travel risks:
Hazardous. Travel to this Domain can be achieved through flight, vehicle, over land, etc. There are dangers to any of these travel methods, however over land is quite probably the worst choice, unless you like it exciting. The lupines here just can't abide the vampires.
Challenges:
As per current Cam supplement.
Player Notes: This game is run on the Venue aspect of the Domain of Colorado Springs. This means that the chapter House on Ground Zero (CO-005) sanctions all characters in the Cam-Anarch venue of the players in the Domain. Without the approval of the CST of CO-005, no character will be allowed to be sanctioned for use. (This includes net play, IRC, dowtimes, or sanctioned games. No character will be approved without character sheet, creation log, and brief background. Should the other chapter in the domain (Knights of Rage CO-006) create their own Cam-Anarch venue, this VSS will be changed to reflect this.
All characters played at the game need to have a current copy of their xp log, character sheet, and I must have a copy of all cam/anarch pc's brief history/background who are in this chapter/venue (i.e. any character in the Cam-Anarch in this domain) before they are allowed to play their character. This does not extend to those who are visiting from outside the domain.
Special Items
All items must be represented by a signed item card or noted on your char. sheet. If you don't have a card you don't have the item. All rituals, curses, blessings, special retainers, magic items, and items that have discipline/power/other affects upon them, require that the ST's be notified before that character(s) begin gameplay. Failure to do so will
cause the item/affect/etc to not come into play during the game note some rituals may be cast in game but that can take time.
If I recieve an email 24 hours prior to game start listing the rituals/items/things along with confirmation by the
players storyteller I can allow them into play during our sanctioned game as the item/ritual/thing card now is in my hand. However they must get confirmation from me (Kit Flint CST) or the DST that the email was recieved.
Rules during game
If there is need to make an interpetion on situation which is outside of the MET books and our current supplement, I will either draw on table top rules, or turn the question over to the Domain Storyteller and abide by his ruling after it is discussed. Any such call made during gameplay will stand, unless that call is a blatant inacuracy to our current supplement. Please note some situations may require the ST's
to narrate or make a call that can be seen as wrong. However these calls will either be in accordance to a current running plotline (CST, DST, RST, or NST).
All rules calls are made to the best knowledge of the Storyteller, and are made in the spirit of the sanctioned rules (see the Tome for it's commentary on this subject.) All rules calls will be finalized by the presiding storyteller or the DST if any questions are asked. No discussion of rules shall be made during game play, unless they directly cause the death of a player character, or are incorrect as seen by the higher ranking ST (narrator, cst, dst, rst, nst). Discussions/Arguments concerning rules calls will be made after game. Failure to abide by this can result in suspension of play for the character and or the player being asked to leave the game. With the loss of that games xp and possibly a greater loss of xp depending on the extant of the game play dissruption.
If any player has a rules question they should present such question to a presiding ST before the action that the rule is associated with. Example, if a player is unsure if a discipline is a mental or social challenge, ask the ST. Example if a player is unsure as to whether or not they can use an influence for an action, ask the ST.
This is a World wide game, and as such, all plotlines world wide are welcome. Some may have more or less of an effect than others depending on the plot and depending on the Domain Storyteller or the Chapter/Venue Storyteller.
Protocols
The use of the Protocols is encouraged. The exact interpetation, as it is a in-character concept, is left in-character, to those characters who can do so.
Player/Character interaction
No player has the right to tell any other player how to play their character or what their character would do in any given situation. The ST's can make rules calls based on situations/morality path/roschreck/discipline usage/plotline/flaws/merits/negative traits/etc of a given charater. Should a player do such without the consent of the other player involved then the player may be subject to discipline by the ST in accordance to the game. If this continues or is a problem the presiding Coordinator will be called in to deal with the situation.
Antagonists/Dangers
The greatest danger to the kindred is each other. The world is created however, and if you wish to find out what else is out there, go out and look for yourself, at your own risk.
If you want to plot and scheme, so be it. If you want to go and fight, I can run that too. I have one rule. For every action or inaction, there are always consequences. They might happen right away, or they might just come back later to haunt you. I track each and every kindred's action, and record them. There is always a consequence, you had best be prepared to face them.
Roleplaying/Costuming
I like to see creative role-play, and ecourage it to best of my ability. I suggest that the player dress the part they play, as it tends to assist in creative role-play. Not all Brujah wear biker jackets, and leather boots. Do something original, it fleshes out your character, and makes them more fun to play.
