Theme/Mood:
Changeling involves two worlds: the banal world of the everyday lives of the billions of souls who inhabit this planet, and the chimerical world that is the imaginations of all those people taken shape. Only enchanted creatures can see it. But those enchanted beings, the dreams of mankind, are dying. Changelings fight against everything that is boring and repetitive. They fight to keep the dreams of mankind alive. For when the dreams die, so do the Changelings. Our game emphasizes the Changeling's need to stick with one another and fight together against Banality. Without other Changelings a lone Changeling is easily lost to banality. Unity is key.
Changeling is a unique challenge to roleplayers in that you have to pretend to be pretending. However, the more child-like wonder you put into the game, the easier it is to see the hoards of mutant rabbits that are descending upon you. The more you give yourself over to the enchanted realm the more fun the roleplay becomes. This is a game of knights and honor, of deceit and trickery, courtly love and oath bound quests. The castles are there, but only if you wish to see them. Give yourself over to your imagination for this game is pure imagination and you have more flexibility with what can be done here than in any other venue.
Character restrictions:
No selkies, one Ghille Dhu.
Within the Changeling venue I will allow most anything that is allowed within sanctioned play, but I will only allow one of any sort of concept (ie, only 1 Sidhe of House Fionna that happens to have a Nightclub and has the title of Knight). I want to diversify as much as possible and deter any repetition. In addition I refuse to have Selkies within a land locked state, and I will allow no more than 1Ghille Dhu at any one time. In addition I will be limiting the number of titles being given in the area. These will change with the amount and maturity of the players. So far as Changelings or items coming in from other chapters/domains/regions I will allow most anything, again no selkies and only 2 items/persons with RST approval. Any character that wants to enter the game on a permanent basis needs to give me a background on their character so that the character can be weaved into the current plotline and into the city.
Proxy rules:
As per current Cam supplement with the addition of no Selkies and no more than 2 RST approval kiths at any 1 time.
Travel risks:
Normal means of travel if you like, fly on a dragon if you wish just avoid the numerous air force bases we have in Colorado. No restricted means of travel and currently no large dangers in the area to be wary of.
Challenges:
No special rules.

Style:
This game is fairly new and the characters have yet to ascertain their relationships to one another. So currently the plotlines are mostly storyteller prompted until the character interactions become more defined and start generating plotlines of their own. The characters so far are mostly from the Seelie court therefore most of the plotlines will be coming from the Unseelie court. If the balance between Seelie and Unseelie becomes more even as the game progresses the antagonists will come from banality itself and the characters will have a much tougher fight on their hands. Initial games will focus on getting the players into the feel of how Changelings view the world and will involve some Quests into the Dreaming. Once the players have established their character interactions and understand the feel of the game, then banality will become a much tougher foe and they will have to battle Autumn people and Accoutants.
Currently in Colorado the biggest threat to the Changeling populace (and indeed the residents themselves) is the current growth rate of the cities. More growth means less open spaces and more grouchy people. The Changelings need to take an active role in saving the open spaces, or the amount of available Glamour in the area will diminish. People need open space to let their souls breath. Another threat to the Glamour is the availability of open air markets where street performers and artisans can share their crafts. Parts of the city are currently a safe haven for such things but developers threaten their existence. Since Changelings prefer to not challenge these threats in the court room they need to use their particular talents to incite mortals to take up the fight.
Antagonists:
Venue antagonsists are currently Unseelie court, and Dauntain and Autumn people.
Venue rules:
XP awarding is unaltered from Shining Host p118. (Base 1xp per game, with additional xp for exceptional roleplaying, etc.)
